Sulu State University Celebrates National Education Support Personnel Day (NESP) 2026 with Unity, Talent, and Camaraderie
The Sulu State University community successfully celebrated the National Education Support Personnel Day (NESP) 2026, honoring the invaluable contributions and dedication of the university’s Non-Teaching Personnel (NTP) through a day filled with inspiring messages, team-building activities, sports competitions, and talent showcases.
The celebration formally commenced with a vibrant parade participated in by the different teams, showcasing unity, enthusiasm, and camaraderie among the university’s education support personnel. Carrying their respective team colors and banners, participants marched with pride and energy, setting a lively and festive atmosphere before the opening ceremony officially began.
Following the parade, the program formally opened with an opening message delivered by Dr. Almashin S. Lipae, NTP President, who expressed his gratitude to all education support personnel for their unwavering commitment and service to the university. He emphasized the important role of non-teaching personnel in ensuring the efficient and effective operations of the institution.
An inspirational message was likewise delivered by Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, University President of Sulu State University, who commended the dedication, hard work, and excellence demonstrated by the university’s support personnel. She highlighted the importance of unity, teamwork, and collaboration in strengthening the university community and achieving institutional goals.
The celebration also featured a video presentation followed by messages from the different team leaders, namely Annabelle Sarabani of the Red Team, Bam Espada of the Green Team, Muniera A. Sappayani of the Orange Team, Lathiefa Mae U. Tulawie of the Yellow Team, and Fatima Rawena Ibno of the Blue Team. Each team leader shared words of encouragement, sportsmanship, and solidarity among participants.
One of the highlights of the event was the symbolic Torch Lighting Ceremony, signifying unity, passion, dedication, and the spirit of camaraderie among all teams participating in the celebration.
The morning activities continued with the much-awaited Group Dance Competition, where different teams showcased their creativity, coordination, and talent through energetic performances. After a lively and competitive presentation, the Blue Team emerged as the Champion, followed by the Red Team as 2nd Place, while the Orange Team secured 3rd Place honors.
In the afternoon, participants engaged in exciting Skills Challenge Competitions, where teamwork, strategy, and determination were tested among the competing teams. The Yellow Team successfully claimed the championship title, while the Green Team earned 2nd Place, and the Blue Team secured 3rd Place.
Sports competitions also continued throughout the celebration, fostering camaraderie and healthy competition among the participants. One of the featured sporting events was the Pickleball Championship Game, where the Yellow Team emerged as Champion. The Orange Team secured the 1st Runner-Up title, while the Blue Team finished as 2nd Runner-Up.
The celebration of NESP 2026 served not only as a recognition of the hard work and dedication of the university’s non-teaching personnel but also as an opportunity to strengthen teamwork, friendship, and solidarity within the Sulu State University community.
