BREAKING NEWS | 𝗨𝗦𝗠 𝗬𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝟭𝟱 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀

Fifteen examinees from the University of Southern Mindanao passed the November 2025 Civil Engineers Licensure Examination, according to the results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on November 29.

USM posted a 66.67% passing rate for first-time takers, with 12 out of 18 passing, and 17.65% for repeaters, with 3 out of 17 qualifying.

The University registered an overall passing rate of 42.86%, surpassing the 30.39% national average.

The CELE, held on November 22–23 across several testing centers nationwide, produced 4,268 passers out of 14,043 examinees.

𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐏-𝐔𝐒𝐌 𝐒𝐂 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐇𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐄 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲

The American Concrete Institute Philippines – USM Student Chapter (ACIP-USM SC), has donated two hydrometer sets (hydrometer and graduated cylinder) to the Department of Civil Engineering for laboratory use.

This initiative reflects the organization’s strong commitment to service and leadership. The donated equipment will greatly benefit civil engineering students by addressing the limited laboratory resources, ensuring more accurate results in experiments, and supporting better learning outcomes.

Through this contribution, ACIP-USM SC hopes to empower students to achieve greater precision, confidence, and success in their laboratory works.

The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers USM Student Chapter crafted another milestone in history as it was named the CEIT Fiesta 2025 Overall Champion for the fourth consecutive year, held today, September 19, at the University Auditorium.

Garnering a total of 2,830 points, PICE USM-SC denied every society of the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) after claiming the gold in major events including Battle of the Bands and Music Video Parody.

PICE USM-SC President Ralph Jimenez shared his emotions about the event.

“Roller coaster gid ang experience,” he expressed. “One thing is for sure, PICE the best talaga.”

Trailing next was the Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (PSABE) with 2,700 points, followed by the Philippine Society of Information Technology Students (PSITS), the Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines (ICPEP), and the Junior Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines (JIECEP).
