𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟬,𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 from the College of Natural Sciences (CNS) were recognized as 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘀 during the 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗦𝗘 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀, held as part of 𝘉𝘚𝘜’𝘴 110𝘵𝘩 𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘈𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘊𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 on September 30. The recognition honors their service and dedication to guiding students, as well as their contributions in supporting the university’s goal of advancing research capabilities and fostering socially responsive and impactful research. Each honoree received a certificate and a monetary incentive.

The 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐂𝐍𝐒) successfully conducted its 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐈𝐧-𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 for Faculty and Staff on 04 September 2026 at the College of Human Ecology Hall, Benguet State University.

The program opened with remarks from the College Dean, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐂. 𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐲𝐧𝐨, who encouraged faculty and staff to go beyond classroom instruction and continuously develop their skills and competencies through external training and other professional activities.

The morning session featured presentations on research, innovation, and professional development. 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝐆. 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚, faculty of the Biology Department, discussed “𝘔𝘪𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘴: Bdellovibrio 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘔𝘋𝘙 𝘗𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘴.” 𝐌𝐬. 𝐘𝐯𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐁. 𝐃𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐡𝐢𝐧, faculty of the Biology Department, re-echoed her learnings from various conferences through “𝘌𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘚𝘺𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘪𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘉𝘪𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩.”

This was followed by “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘐𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳’𝘴 𝘍𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬: 𝘒𝘦𝘺 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘊𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘝𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘋𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵” by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐚 𝐋. 𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐲𝐧𝐨, faculty of the Chemistry Department, and “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘐𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳’𝘴 𝘗𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩: 𝘈 𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘋𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘱 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘴” by 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐟𝐨 𝐀. 𝐓𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐉𝐫. of the Chemistry Department. 𝐌𝐫. 𝐀𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐧 𝐕. 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐚, faculty of the Environmental Science Department, then presented on "𝘔𝘪𝘤𝘳𝘰-𝘊𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨." The morning session concluded with 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡 𝐂. 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐳, faculty of the Biology Department, presenting “𝘌𝘹𝘰𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘺𝘴𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘉𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘪𝘰𝘮𝘺𝘤𝘰𝘵𝘢 𝘌𝘯𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘵𝘩 𝘙𝘦𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘱𝘢 𝘌𝘮𝘣𝘳𝘺𝘰 𝘪𝘯 𝘝𝘪𝘵𝘳𝘰.”

The afternoon session featured an interactive talk on “𝘐𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨” by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐧𝐧 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐁. 𝐊𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐠, Director of the Institute of Social Research and Development (ISRD), BSU, and 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐬-𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐨, faculty of the College of Social Sciences, BSU. This was followed by “𝘌𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘊𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘴/𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘴: 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘺 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘤𝘰𝘭 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘴” by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐒. 𝐆𝐮𝐲𝐨, the CNS Research Coordinator and faculty of the Biology Department.

The event concluded with a closing remark by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐚 𝐃. 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐭, Chairperson of the Chemistry Department, who encouraged the faculty and staff to continue learning, growing, and strengthening their commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.

The 2026 CNS In-Service Training provided a meaningful venue for knowledge sharing, research dissemination, professional development, and collaboration among faculty and staff.
