The MLS Group 2 successfully conducted an educational health awareness event as part of their NSTP project on Cancer Screening, bringing together the 2nd Year Medical Laboratory Science students of LPU-St. Cabrini School of Health Sciences for an insightful discussion on preventive healthcare and early disease detection.

The session highlighted the importance of cancer screening, emphasizing preventive health habits, identifying individual and family risk factors, and navigating healthcare systems to access appropriate screening and medical services. Through this discussion, participants gained a deeper understanding of the vital role early detection plays in improving health outcomes and promoting overall well-being.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our guest speaker, Dr. Malen M. Gellido, Surgical Oncologist at St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center, for sharing his expertise and valuable insights. ✨ Event Recap | Promoting Proper Posture, Movement, and Wellness ✨

On April 22, 2026, an educational health awareness event focused on proper posture, physical activity, bone health, and overall wellness was successfully conducted for the AVSE 1st Year students of LPU-St. Cabrini School of Health Sciences.

Organized by BSRT 1-A, the activity aimed to raise awareness on the importance of maintaining good posture, engaging in regular physical activity, and adopting healthy lifestyle practices to support long-term physical and mental well-being.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our guest speaker, Ms. Kriz Polliente Dela Vega, Team Leader of the Rehabilitation Department at St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center, for sharing her expertise and valuable insights on preventing musculoskeletal problems, improving mobility, and promoting a healthier lifestyle through proper body mechanics and exercise.

The White Coat Ceremony celebrated our students' transition into the medical profession, symbolizing their pledge to serve with empathy and integrity.
Inspired by the theme, "Kaleidoscope of Compassion: Forming GENTLE Physicians in Service and Care,” each future physician was reminded that, like a kaleidoscope, their unique qualities combine to create a vibrant mosaic of care. As white coats were placed on their shoulders, they embraced the calling to heal with skill, compassion, and respect for human dignity.

The LPU–St. Cabrini School of Health Sciences also extends its heartfelt appreciation to our distinguished guest speaker, Dr. Anna Patricia B. Tan, RPh, MD, DPDS, for sharing her insights, inspiring words, and valuable guidance as our students embark on this meaningful chapter of their medical education.

As part of their NSTP Project, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing 1-1 Group 1 successfully conducted an educational health event focused on asthma awareness and the PhilHealth YAKAP Program, bringing together the 2nd and 3rd Year Bachelor of Science in Nursing students of LPU-St. Cabrini School of Health Sciences.

The event served as an opportunity to deepen students’ understanding of respiratory health, asthma management, preventive healthcare, and accessible medical services through the PhilHealth YAKAP Program.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our guest speaker, Dr. Maria Theresa Co-Magsino from St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center, for sharing valuable knowledge and insights that inspired future healthcare professionals to continue promoting patient-centered care and community health awareness.
