Throughout September, the IFSU Drum and Lyre Corps (IDLC) conducted training sessions for CWTS and higher-year students at the IFSU Lamut Campus.

The training sessions focused on strengthening the participantsโ€™ understanding and skills in the basic fundamentals of the Drum and Lyre Corps through demonstrations and guided practice. Activities included basic movements, positioning, marching techniques, and instrument familiarization.

The sessions were supervised by Mayor REALIZA D. TUGUINAY, with the assistance and guidance of the IFSU Drum and Lyre Corps members, helping ensure the smooth flow of each training session.

The September training sessions served as an opportunity for the participants to continuously learn, practice, and develop their skills as members of the IFSU Drum and Lyre Corps.

IDLC Officers Officially Take Their Oath

The IFSU Drum and Lyre Corps (IDLC), led by University President Freddie B Caday, together with officers from various university organizations, officially took their oath during the Mass Oath-Taking Ceremony held on August 14, 2026, at the IFSU Convention Hall.

The ceremony formally marked the beginning of their term and their commitment to lead, serve, and uphold their responsibilities as student leaders.

The Joint Regional, Provincial and Municipal Launching of the 52nd Nutrition Month officially commenced at the Municipal Gymnasium in Lamut, Ifugao at 7:30 a.m., gathering participants from different municipalities of Ifugao and the barangays of Lamut in support of health and nutrition advocacy.

The IFSU Drum and Lyre Corps, under the supervision of Mr. Pacifico D. Mandolado, led the parade and set a festive atmosphere for the celebration. Headed by Ms. Stephany Gallo, who served as the majorette, the corps energized the crowd with lively musical performances that uplifted the spirits of attendees.

The parade symbolized unity and collective commitment to promoting proper nutrition, healthy lifestyles, and community well-being. The event forms part of the annual Nutrition Month observance, which aims to raise awareness of the importance of nutrition and encourage healthier habits among individuals and families.
