JUST IN | The Horizon Partylist fails to claim seats in SSC Elections 2026, zero candidates elected
Lone partylist, The Horizon, failed to sweep the SSC Elections 2026 despite vouching for votes to prove their initiatives to lead and serve the Red and White community, leaving seats completely vacant for the next administration of Supreme Student Council of BatStateU - The NEU Lipa.
Out of 779 total voters, the candidates’ individual shares consistently hanged above 69%. Leading the executive slate, presidential aspirant Rimas garnered 69.32% of the votes, while Reyes (VP for Internal Affairs) and Mitra (VP for External Affairs) both obtained 70.60%, and Abella (VP for Student Organization Affairs) secured 72.66%.
For the administrative roles, Bandiez topped the list with 73.30% for General Secretary, followed by Dalangin (Treasurer) at 71.25%, Dimaunahan (Deputy Treasurer) at 73.04%, and Murphy (Auditor) at 72.66%. Rounding out the ballot, Business Managers Gonzales and Leonardo acquired 71.50% and 70.22% respectively, while Bersuto locked in 73.04% for Public Information Officer.
As the ballots closed, no candidates were elected as the overall voter turnout failed to meet the mandatory 75% threshold of total student votes required by the constitution. Following the vacant sweep, the student body is waiting on next steps regarding a special election or the formation of an interim committee to run the university's highest governing body.
