UPLB ASTRUM SCIENTIS Sorority extends its warmest congratulations to our sis, 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗮 𝗝𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘀, on being named 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 (𝗣𝗖𝗦𝗖 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲), held April 23–25 at the University of the Immaculate Conception – Bajada Campus, Davao City.

Her paper, “𝑻𝑼𝑫𝑳𝑶: 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓-𝑬𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑭𝒊𝒏𝒆-𝑻𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑻𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑪𝒆𝒃𝒖𝒂𝒏𝒐 𝑬𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒚-𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒔 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏,”exemplifies scholarship that is both technically rigorous and socially responsive—advancing Natural Language Processing while addressing the critical need for accessible, language-sensitive educational tools.

In centering Tagalog and Cebuano within the development of intelligent systems, she contributes not only to the field, but to a broader vision of inclusive and equitable learning. Her work reflects a rare synthesis of purpose and intellectual clarity.

We take great pride in her achievement and in the integrity with which she continues to represent our sisterhood. May this recognition be but the first of many in a distinguished academic journey.

In celebration of Women’s Month, The UPLB ASTRUM SCIENTIS Sorority held 𝑺𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏, 𝑶𝒏𝒆 𝑪𝒚𝒄𝒍𝒆 𝒂𝒕 𝒂 𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆 last March 31, 2026 at UPLB C-Park. 🌸

We distributed free sanitary napkins, tissues, and educational materials to support women’s health and raise awareness on menstrual care. All 140 kits were distributed in less than an hour, reflecting the real need for accessible menstrual support on campus.

Thank you to our Activity Head and Co-Head, 𝙎𝙞𝙨 𝘼𝙨𝙝 and 𝙎𝙞𝙨 𝙕𝙖𝙗, for leading this initiative with heart and purpose, and to our resident sisses who helped make this event possible.

We are deeply grateful to our alumnae sisses who generously donated and showed their support to this movement.

Together, we continue to care, support, and uplift women in our community. 💜
