Survived the exams: DONE!
Survived mental stability: In progress…

Hello psychmates! Now that our midterm exams are done let us take a moment to remember to breathe and rest not only our bodies but also our brains after weeks of cramming, overthinking, and studying until we see a glint of sunlight.

Regardless of what scores or results we have, we all did our best to ace our exams and that alone makes our effort worth it. Let us all congratulate ourselves for surviving midterms season!

Now, all we need to do is lay back and relax, and give our brain the proper rest it deserves.

Yesterday, July 24, 2024, the Psychology Department Program Head, Ms. Maria Jinky Rosuello had facilitated the overall psychology orientation for 1st year students to 4th year students. The orientation included the introduction of major subjects, background of Psychology on Medici Di Makati College, and the board exam passing rate.

Right after the general orientation, the class elections were conducted and was facilitated by the student council psychology representative. It was followed by the singing of a happy birthday song, to surprise the July celebrants of the psychology department. The orientation concluded with a lunch and fun conversation among the psychology students.

May the learnings earned in this orientation prosper into actions for more activities and achievements. Welcome to psychology, psychmates!

"PAPJA 2026! Ano, tara?"

Last April 27-28, 2026, the MDMC Psychology students were part of the more than 7,000 delegates that had attended the 39th PAPJA National Convention with the theme "Futurescaping Psychology: Our Role in Attaining The Sustainable Development Goals."

The event had featured a whole day activities at the SMX Convention Center where various inter school competition had occurred. Such as transcendence, quiz bee, best thesis competition, psyclips, song writing competition, and more.

Moreover, the following day highlights an insightful lessons from different workshops that were held in De La Salle University about the different aspects of Psychology and how these fields are interconnected with our daily life.

From speakers to academic discussions, various psychology students and professionals had expressed their talents and knowledge that shows how promising the future of psychology is in our country.

May the lessons, experience, and inspiration that everyone gain keeps us moving forward while attaining the reason why we chose to pursue psychology. Just like what Ms. Jodi Sta Maria said, you belong exactly where you are.
