Happy Birthday in Heaven 🙏

As De La Salle Araneta University joins the Lasallian family in mourning the passing of Dr. Narciso S. Erguiza, Jr. (1951-2026), former President of DLSAU and a leader in Catholic education in the Philippines, we invite the Lasallian community to join us in prayer at the Requiem Mass for the eternal repose of his soul.

The Mass will be offered tomorrow, Friday, 6 March 2026 at 12:00 NN in the University Chapel.

Let us pray for the eternal rest of Dr. Erguiza and for comfort for his family and the communities he faithfully served. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

Congratulations Dr. LINA SANTIAGO-POLICARPIO!
President of the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association

Our Galing Araneta Gâling Araneta featured alumna is Dr. LINA SANTIAGO-POLICARPIO (HS Batch 1980, GS Batch 1976) the newly elected President of the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Policarpio, a UP graduate, used to serve as Vice President of PVMA, and as President-elect, she also chairs the Animal Welfare Sub-Committee of the Federation of Asian Veterinary Associations.

She is also involved in private sector animal health and services as the Co-Founder and Sales Director of Petspecialists Corp. She also served as Elanco's Regional Technical Director (Asia Pacific).

In 2023, she received the Distinguished Professional Service Award by the PVMA.

DLSAU Batch 2014 Doctor of Veterinary Medicine alumnus Dr. Pierce Occidental was recognized as Outstanding Alumnus in Veterinary Enterprise for his exemplary leadership, entrepreneurial excellence, and significant contributions to the advancement of the veterinary profession and industry in the country.

The award was bestowed by the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association during the 93rd PVMA Scientific Conference and Annual Convention held from Feb. 18-20, 2026 in Iloilo.

Last January 31, 2026 Dr. Willam Enrique (DLSAUAAI President) and Dr. Ernie Cuaresma (VAANA-USA) formally signed the Memorandum of Understanding, solidifying a shared commitment to knowledge and information sharing, joint projects, and stronger coordination that will benefit DLSAU students, and graduates—fostering unity, camaraderie, altruism, and lasting loyalty to De La Salle Araneta University.
