De Castro (Philippines), featuring distinguished panelists: Permanent Representative Dionísio Babo Soares (Timor-Leste), Commissioner Faydah Maniri Duma (Commission on Human Rights, Philippines), Director Geraldine Gachuz (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mexico), Director General Zinat Ara (Department of Women Affairs, Bangladesh), and Executive Director Hannah Lizette S. Manalili (Inter-agency Council Against Trafficking, Philippines).

Opening remarks were delivered by Chairperson Ermelita V. Valdeavilla (Philippine Commission on Women, Philippines), and closing by Permanent Representative Enrique A. Manalo (Philippines).

During the organizational session of the 🇺🇳 UN Global Mechanism on Developments in the field of ICTs, Ms. Rochel April Pua, Chief of Cybersecurity Policy Studies at the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), reaffirms the 🇵🇭 Philippines’ commitment to the 🇺🇳 UN Framework on Responsible State Behaviour in Cyberspace and to the implementation of effective cyber Confidence Building Measures for a secure and stable digital environment.

Ms. Pua highlights the 🇵🇭 Philippines' National Cybersecurity Plan 2023-2028, including the establishment of the National Cyber Intelligence Network, which is a coordination hub linking government agencies, the private sector, the academe, CSOs, and international partners to strengthen cyber resilience and cooperation.

Ms. Pua underscores the 🇵🇭 Philippines' priorities under the 🌎 Global Mechanism, and calls for action-oriented outcomes and capacity-building assistance that is people-centered, flexible, sustainable, and responsive, ensuring inclusive and meaningful cooperation across all stakeholders. 🇵🇭🤝🇺🇳🕊️
