🎶 August slipped away… into a moment in time! 🎵

Last month, our brilliant faculty members from the Department of Arts and Communication flew to Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan to present their research at the 24th International and Interdisciplinary Conference of Communication, Medicine, and Ethics (COMET).

Hosted by Yokohama City University and the YCU Medical Centre from August 5–7, 2026, the COMET brought together scholars from around the globe across healthcare, humanities, and social sciences. The event provided a vital platform for our faculty to share their ongoing research on topics such as news framing, emotional labor, and visual communication in relation to immunization, patient care, and mental health.

We are immensely proud of our educators for representing DAC in the international stage.

Re: GE Classes and Requests

DAC will not be accommodating petitions to open additional GE classes and requests for additional slots EXCEPT when the student is GRADUATING this First Semester, 2026-2027; in which case the approval of additional slots is still subject to the teacher's prerogative.

Most of our faculty members have already been assigned a 15/18-unit teaching load. A number of our faculty members are on reduced teaching load as they need to focus on their graduate studies. The sections that are opened are all that we can offer.
