The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (DBMB), in partnership with the Philippine Science High School System, held its Completion Ceremony on June 23, 2026, to recognize the successful completion of the student summer internship program (SIP).

The event was attended by the PSHS student interns, DBMB Chair Dr. Tammy L. Dela Rosa, DBMB Vice Chair for Research and faculty mentor Dr. Maria Llaine J. Callanta, UP Manila Vice Chancellor for Research and faculty mentor Dr. Leslie Michelle M. Dalmacio, and PSHS Site Coordinator Ms. Lovelyn Balbedina.

Eleven incoming Grade 11 students from different campuses of the Philippine Science High School System successfully completed their 80-hour laboratory internship in the various laboratories of DBMB. During their internship, the students were exposed to various molecular biology techniques under the guidance and supervision of DBMB faculty mentors.

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology congratulates the student interns on completing the program and wishes them continued success in their future academic and scientific endeavors.
