Commemoration does not stop in a day โ€” it continues for as long as people remember. As we commemorate the ๐๐š๐ ๐š๐ฌ๐š๐ค๐ข ๐ƒ๐š๐ฒ or the ๐€๐ญ๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐œ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐› ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ƒ๐š๐ฒ since yesterday, August 9, let us be solemly reminded by the devastating consequences of nuclear weapons and its lasting impact on our citizens, communities, and generations. We should not only remember those who are affected by atomic bombings, but also recognize the importance of peace, discernment, human rights, and international cooperations.

Let this observance be a mark that peace is not merely the absence of war, but rather a presence of justice, understanding, security, compassion, and respect for human dignity.

Ngayong Farmworker Appreciation Day, kaisa ang Ambassadors for the Global Goals (AFTGG) sa pagkilala ng mga haligi ng agrikultura at seguridad sa pagkain ng bawat Pilipino โ€” ang uring magsasaka.

Bagaman pangunahing tumitiyak ng pagkain sa ating hapag, humigit-kumulang 1 sa bawat 4 na magsasakang Pilipino pa rin ang nabubuhay sa kahirapan. Kaya naman, panahon na para bigyan sila ng higit pa sa papuri, bagkus dapat nang matamasa ang makatarungang sahod, ligtas na lupang sasakahin, at tunay na proteksyon laban sa hamon ng kalikasan.

Sapagkat ang bayang hindi kumikilala sa kamay na nagtatanim sa kasalukuyan, ay bayang lumilimot sa ugat ng sarili niyang kinabukasan.
