The Red Cross Youth Council (RCYC) proudly participated in the Ladiawan 2026: A One-Day Leadership Training Program for Student Leaders and Organizations, held on April 30, 2026, at the International Convention Center, MSU Main Campus, Marawi City.

With the theme โ€œLeaders: Hawak mo ang Beat! Own the Pulse. Lead the Movement,โ€ the program served as a platform for student leaders to strengthen their leadership competencies, foster collaboration, and enhance their capacity to lead impactful initiatives within their communities.

Representing RCYC were Mohammad Ali Baruang, Sharina Simbano, and Norjannah Baulo, who actively engaged in the Community Organizing Workshop, gaining valuable insights and practical strategies in mobilizing and empowering communities.

The event featured inspiring messages from university leaders and a keynote address by Atty. Rashid V. Panda, who emphasized the core values of effective leadershipโ€”responsibility, initiative, and the ability to inspire others.

RCYC remains committed to developing competent, service-driven student leaders who are ready to make a difference and lead with purpose.

The MSUโ€“CHS Red Cross Youth Council proudly extends its support to Project RANAO: Raising Awareness and Nurturing Action for Our Waters, held on April 12, 2026, at Barangay Bubonga, Marawi City.
Organized through the collaborative efforts of the National Service Training Program (NSTP), the Barangay Local Government Unit of Bubonga, and MSU-Main DOST scholars, the initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness and strengthen community involvement in protecting our vital water resources, particularly Lake Lanao.
As a partner organization, RCYC deployed dedicated responders to provide first aid services, ensuring the safety and well-being of participants throughout the activity. Alongside an informative session on waste management and water protection, the program culminated in a lakeshore clean-up drive, reflecting a shared commitment to environmental stewardship and collective action.
Through initiatives like Project RANAO, the spirit of volunteerism and community collaboration continues to thrive, reminding us that protecting our environment is a shared responsibility.

Represented by its Public Relations Officer, Thamarah Benito, the organization actively engaged in this meaningful initiative organized by the MSUโ€“Singayo Student Peer Facilitatorsโ€™ Circle under the Division of Student Affairs. The program served as a platform for student leaders to deepen their understanding of mental health, peer facilitation, and inclusive leadership.
Anchored on the theme โ€œEmpowering Youth: Embracing the Power of Peer Support,โ€ the activity highlighted the importance of empathy, intentional listening, and the creation of safe spaces within the academic community. Through insightful plenary discussions and interactive workshops, participants explored real-life student concerns such as academic burnout, financial stress, and the role of peer support in promoting overall well-being.

The RCYC MSUโ€“CHS Chapter proudly took part in the Ranaw Youth Development Council (RYDC) Continuing Mandatory Training held on March 30โ€“31, 2026, at Go Hotels, Iligan City. Represented by its official delegate, Ms. Nor-yasmein Hadji Nor, the chapter actively engaged in this meaningful two-day activity organized by the Ranaw Youth Development Office (RYDO) in collaboration with the Teach Peace Build Peace Movement.
The training served as a valuable platform for youth leaders to enhance their knowledge and skills in governance, inclusive policy-making, and data-driven strategic planning. Through interactive sessions, workshops, and collaborative discussions, participants were empowered to take a more active role in shaping youth-centered programs and initiatives.
A key highlight of the event was the co-creation of the Ranaw Youth Development Plan (RYDP) 2026โ€“2028, where RCYC, alongside fellow youth organizations, contributed in identifying priorities and developing responsive and sustainable programs for the youth sector.

The RCYC MSUโ€“CHS Chapter was formally requested to serve as the official event partner and provide medical volunteers for the 3rd stop of โ€œDollhouse ni Kaka Sally,โ€ an Islamic Seminar organized by the Inspired Young Optimists Guild (IYOG), held on March 28, 2026.
In response to this request, RCYC deployed dedicated medical volunteers to ensure the safety, preparedness, and well-being of all participants throughout the event. Volunteers were strategically assigned to designated venues in accordance with the seminarโ€™s program, providing immediate medical assistance and support when needed.
This collaboration reflects RCYCโ€™s continued commitment to service, humanitarian action, and community engagement, particularly in supporting youth-led and faith-centered initiatives that promote unity, learning, and peace.

The Red Cross Youth Council (RCYC) is honored to receive a request for medical assistance during the 49th Founding Anniversary of the College of Health Sciences, themed โ€œBeyond the Unknown: Commemorating 49 Years of Courage in the Face of Change and the Unseen,โ€ held on February 14โ€“16, 2026.

In line with our commitment to service and preparedness, RCYC remained ready to extend support by providing trained medics/first aiders to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all participants throughout the event.
