Recognizing Years of Service, Leadership, and Humanity

On 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟏𝟖, 2026, the Mindanao State University Red Cross Youth Council gathered at the CHS Building Conference Room to honor years of dedicated service.

The Tribute Ceremony celebrated our 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐂𝐘𝐂 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬, and 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 of 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐚—leaders who served with courage, compassion, and humanity. ❤️

Hosted by 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞, the program unfolded through heartfelt messages, engaging games, tribute songs, a nostalgic video showcasing moments from their school year, shared meals, and the giving of flowers and gifts—each moment reflecting gratitude and the strong bonds formed through service. It also marked the leadership transition for S.Y. 2026–2027, honoring outgoing President 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐢 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐠 and welcoming incoming President 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐣𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐨. 💬🌟

Guided by our adviser, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐠, the event became a celebration of impact, gratitude, and lasting legacy.

Sometimes, all it takes is a hopeful dream to reignite your passion.

The Red Cross Youth Council – MSU-CHS Marawi had the opportunity to participate in the 2026 MAD Talks by Making A Difference (MAD) on July 18, 2026, through the invitation of the Association of Registered Clubs and Student Organizations (ARCSO).

Representing RCYC member was Asiya H. Dimaporo, who joined fellow student leaders and participants in this meaningful event filled with diverse highly inspiring stories.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the speakers for sharing stories that reinforced hope, trust, and faith among us. Each talk was genuine, inspiring, and deeply moving, reminding us that making a difference does not always require grand gestures. It begins with staying hopeful, trusting in ourselves that we can achieve our goals, and having faith as one of our strongest support systems.

As members of the Red Cross Youth Council, we are inspired to carry these lessons beyond the venue and into the communities we serve. We remain committed to promoting volunteerism, compassion, and humanity while continuing to make a difference through meaningful service.

We are truly grateful to have been part of this inspiring experience and look forward to putting these lessons into action. ❤️🤍

𝗔 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗢𝗻 ; 𝐑𝐂𝐘𝐂 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀.𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 🕰️

Academic Year 2025–2026 has been a year of growth, service, and countless opportunities to make a difference. Under the leadership of Council President 𝙈𝙧. 𝙈𝙤𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙢𝙖𝙙 𝘼𝙡𝙞 𝘼. 𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙪𝙖𝙣𝙜, the MSU-CHS Red Cross Youth Council remained committed to serving the community through humanitarian activities, volunteer development programs, first aid services, awareness campaigns, and outreach initiatives. Each accomplishment in this report reflects the dedication of every officer, volunteer, adviser, and partner who gave their time and effort in service of others.

Behind every activity is a story of people choosing to show up, lend a hand, and serve where they are needed most. As we close another academic year, we look back with gratitude on what we have achieved together and carry forward the lessons, experiences, and memories that continue to shape us as volunteers and as a council.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey this A.Y 2025–2026.

The MSU-CHS Red Cross Youth Council has taken note of a recent post circulating in the Mindanao State University Main Campus Facebook Community group regarding inquiries and concerns about the council’s membership scope and the possibility of expanding participation beyond the College of Health Sciences.

In the interest of transparency and proper communication, we are releasing this official statement to address the matter and provide clarification regarding the Council’s current structure, ongoing discussions, and future directions.

The MSU–CHS Red Cross Youth Council (MSU-CHS RCYC) proudly received the Best Collaborative Organization Award during Gabi ng Pagkilala 2026, held on May 30, 2026, at the Provincial Capitol Complex, Marawi City.

This recognition reflects the organization’s commitment to service, partnership, and community engagement through impactful initiatives. Furthermore, RCYC was nominated for several major awards such as the ARCSO Most Prestigious Student Organization Award, Best Organizational Initiative Award (Academic, Semi-Academic, and Socio-Civic), and Service Excellence Award, while RCYC officers Mr. Mohammad Ali A. Baruang was recognized as Best Dressed and, Ms. Mariam A. Benito was awarded Ms. Congeniality during the said event.

The award is dedicated to the communities we serve, our dedicated members and officers, and our advisers, Prof. Janeirah Q. Manalundong and Asst. Prof. Jamal Tango P. Alawiya, whose unwavering support continues to inspire our mission of humanitarian service. We also extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Nahid M. Golgol for his constant support and encouragement to the organization.

𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 ⛑️

On May 26, 2026, the outgoing and incoming officers of the MSU-CHS Red Cross Youth Council, together with the council’s adviser, Prof. Janeirah Manalundong, gathered for the official endorsement and turnover meeting. The meeting gave both the outgoing and incoming officers a chance to get to know each other, exchange insights, and prepare for the responsibilities ahead. We also congratulate the incoming officers of the council this A.Y. 2026–2027 as they take on the responsibility of leading the organization.

And yes, you’ll be meeting the new faces of RCYC officers very soon! Stay tuned as we officially introduce the team that will be serving alongside you for the upcoming academic year. ❤️

𝗟𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗡 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

The Red Cross Youth Council (RCYC) proudly participated in the Ladiawan 2026: A One-Day Leadership Training Program for Student Leaders and Organizations, held on April 30, 2026, at the International Convention Center, MSU Main Campus, Marawi City.

With the theme “Leaders: Hawak mo ang Beat! Own the Pulse. Lead the Movement,” the program served as a platform for student leaders to strengthen their leadership competencies, foster collaboration, and enhance their capacity to lead impactful initiatives within their communities.

Representing RCYC were Mohammad Ali Baruang, Sharina Simbano, and Norjannah Baulo, who actively engaged in the Community Organizing Workshop, gaining valuable insights and practical strategies in mobilizing and empowering communities.

The event featured inspiring messages from university leaders and a keynote address by Atty. Rashid V. Panda, who emphasized the core values of effective leadership—responsibility, initiative, and the ability to inspire others.

RCYC remains committed to developing competent, service-driven student leaders who are ready to make a difference and lead with purpose.
