Off the Campus: MSU-LNCAT Clinches Men's Volleyball Championship in Pres. Paisalin P.D. Tago, CPA, Inter High School Sports Cup 2026
The MSU-LNCAT Men's Volleyball Team emerged as champions during the Pres. Paisalin P.D. Tago, CPA Inter High School Sports Cup 2026. The event commenced on May 11, 2026 at Mindanao State University, Main Campus, with participating institutions including MSU-ILS, MSU-UTC, MSU-LNCAT, MSU-MSHS, alongside private schools such as ISISF, AKIC-SLS, P*S, PEACI, and ABEDIN.
The volleyball team of MSU-LNCAT secured several victories to qualify for the championship match against ABEDIN's volleyball team. With determination and drive for the winning trophy, MSU-LNCAT dominated the men's volleyball finals and emerged as Champions. Individual awards were also presented during the event. Ambrosih Panaraag was named Most Valuable Player (MVP), while Abdulrahman Hadji Aliakbar received Best Outside Hitter.
In other games, the MSU-LNCAT Senior High School Basketball Team managed to secure a spot in the Magic 4 after a series of outstanding matches.
The Junior High School Basketball Team also showcased remarkable performance, winning two games throughout the tournament. A special recognition goes to one of the JHS basketball players who was named Player of the Game (Game 3), earning an impressive 22 points.
The teams extend their deepest gratitude to their dedicated coaches: Sir Mujeeb Mognie and Sir Rashid C. Mangacop for their exceptional guidance of the volleyball team, and Sir Saadodin Dimasira and Sir Dexter Caballero for their unwavering support of the basketball team. Their commitment, expertise, and mentorship were instrumental in bringing out the best in our athletes.
The JHS Basketball Team was accompanied by their supportive teachers, Ma'am Johaira Radiamoda and Ma'am Hafsah Lomondot, whose dedication and encouragement helped the team perform at their best. Heartfelt thanks to our JHS Principal Dr. Lily B. Caye for her continuous support.
Special thanks to our Campus Head, Supt. Hadja Cairany D. Dia- Gandamra, RN, JD, DPA(CAR) Car DG , for her continuous support and encouragement. Her leadership and belief in our student-athletes have been invaluable to this achievement.
The event lived up to its theme, "Uniting Young Athletes Towards Peace and Prosperity," as it concluded with strengthened camaraderie and friendships among athletes from the participating institutions.
