In pursuit of breaking out of organizational silos and translating our academic achievements into expansive, measurable societal impact, the Executive Council hereby approves the minor revision of Article VIII, Section 2 of our Constitution and By-Laws, formally introducing two new standing committees:
๐ Academic and Research Committee
Serving as the Societyโs internal intellectual core, this committee is mandated to foster a culture of scholarly inquiry, safeguard member academic welfare, and provide specialized resources, peer-advising frameworks, and research support. Through this, we empower students to excel academically, stay updated with industry and research trends, and build a strong foundation for their scholarly pursuits.
๐ External Affairs Committee
Serving as the primary liaison to external entities, this committee is tasked with establishing strategic partnerships, securing financial sponsorships, managing public relations, and developing linkages that elevate our collective reach. This opens up limitless opportunities, expanding our network and connecting our members with valuable industry partnerships, sponsorships, and real-world exposure.
