The Fisheries Science Society (FSS), in proud collaboration with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), the Local Government Unit of Naic, successfully conducted the Fish Conservation Week and Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences Department Day Celebration last September 15–16, 2026!

Guided by the theme "KABATAANG PILIPINO: TAGLAY AY LAKAS PARA SA LIKAS-YAMANG PANGISDAAN," the event highlighted the crucial role of the BSFAS students and academic community in safeguarding our marine ecosystems and honoring our coastal champions.

BSFAS students unleashed their creativity and visual storytelling, bringing marine conservation into sharp focus through poster-making and photography contest.

On the other hand, in a heartfelt turnover ceremony, assistance and wheelchairs were awarded to our local fisherfolk to support their daily lives and mobility.

A huge congratulations to the Fisheries Science Society for spearheading this meaningful event, and thank you to all partners, organizers, and participants who made it a resounding success. Para sa kalikasan at sa bayan!

A new chapter of leadership unfolds as we, the newly proclaimed officers of the academic organizations of Cavite State University – Naic Campus, take our oath to serve with purpose, dedication, and commitment. This ceremony is more than a formal promiseβ€”it marks the beginning of our responsibility to represent the student body, uphold the trust given to us, and create meaningful and positive change within our university community.

We proudly stand alongside the Central Student Government (CSG), Fisheries Science Society (FSS), Computer Science Student Organization (CSSO), Information Technology Student Organization (ITSO), Young Educators' Society (YES), Student Managers' Guild (SMG), Alliance of Hospitality Management (AHM), and Student Body Organization (SBO) as we take our oath to serve. Together, we represent diverse student communities and commit ourselves to promoting leadership, academic excellence, professional development, innovation, student representation, environmental awareness, and active participation. Through our dedication and service, we aim to empower fellow students, strengthen our respective programs, and contribute meaningfully to the university community.

As we begin our journey as student leaders, may we embody the values that guide true and responsible leadership: Truth, by being honest and sincere in our words and actions; Integrity, by doing what is right even when no one is watching; Excellence, by continuously striving to do our best and improve; and Service, by helping and supporting others with dedication and care.

May our term be guided by wisdom, compassion, and unwavering commitment as we lead not only with authority, but with purpose and heart. May we always remember that leadership is not simply a positionβ€”it is a responsibility to serve, inspire, and make a difference in the student community.
