𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | After taking their oath as the newly elected University Student Government (USG) officers, we asked them a simple but meaningful question: “𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂?”

Behind every vote is a student who believed in their leadership, vision, and ability to represent the student body. Now that the campaign season has come to an end and their term has officially begun, the promise is no longer just something spoken during elections it is a responsibility they now carry.

As they step into their respective positions, we give them the space to speak directly to the students who placed their trust in them

𝗧𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗔𝗡 | 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗮 𝗨𝗦𝗚 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗮

Pormal nang nanumpa sa kanilang tungkulin ang mga bagong halal na opisyal ng University Student Government (USG) noong Lunes, Agosto 24, 2026, na isinagawa kasabay ng flag ceremony sa PSU Narra Gymnasium.

Sa pamamagitan ng panunumpa, pormal na tinanggap ng mga bagong lider ang kanilang responsibilidad na kumatawan at maglingkod sa kapwa mag-aaral. Bitbit ang tiwala ng student body, nangako silang gagampanan ang kanilang mga tungkulin nang may integridad, dedikasyon, at pananagutan.

Hudyat ito ng panibagong yugto ng pamumuno sa pamantasan, kung saan inaasahang magiging boses, katuwang, at lingkod ng mga mag-aaral ang bagong hanay ng USG officers.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗣𝗦𝗨 𝗡𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗔 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
𝘉𝘺: 𝘙𝘰𝘹𝘢𝘯 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘋𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘮𝘣𝘰𝘺

Matagumpay na ginanap ngayong araw ang PSU Narra Grand Rally 2026 sa Palawan State University–Narra Campus, kung saan inilahad ng mga kandidato mula sa Inclusive Student Alliance ang kanilang mga plataporma, programa, at layunin para sa student body.

“Gusto po namin na marinig ang boses ng lahat ng estudyante,” pahayag ni Mark John Montes, tumatakbo bilang Student Government President mula sa Inclusive Student Alliance.

Layunin ng naturang aktibidad na maipakilala sa mga estudyante ang mga programa at adhikain ng grupo para sa kapakanan, karapatan, at kapakinabangan ng student body.

“Naniniwala po ang aming party na sama-sama po tayo sa lahat ng laban na ito. Kailangan meron tayong isang boses, kailangan meron tayong isang layunin, at naniniwala po kami na tayo po ay estudyanteng numero uno ng PSU Narra Campus at iisa po tayo sa laban na ’to,” saad pa ni Montes.

Nagsagawa rin ng Open Forum, kung saan nagkaroon ng pagkakataon ang mga mag-aaral na magtanong, maglahad ng kanilang saloobin, at makipagpalitan ng pananaw sa mga kandidato.

Masiglang sinalubong ang mga freshmen mula sa iba’t ibang departamento sa ginanap na Burungitan Rites 2026 ngayong Huwebes, Agosto 6, 2026 sa Palawan State University - Narra Campus.

Ang pagdiriwang na ito ay bahagi na ng kultura ng unibersidad kung saan pormal na tinatanggap ang mga bagong mag-aaral bago magsimula ang akademikong taon.

Sinimulan ang programa sa isang makulay na parada. Sabay-sabay na nag-abang ang mga sophomore, senior students, at mga kaguruan upang salubungin ang mga freshmen. Napuno ng malalakas na tambol, sigawan, at hiyawan ang buong campus dahil sa mga inihandang yell ng bawat departamento na nagpakita ng diwa ng pagkakaisa at campus pride.

Binigyang-pagkilala rin sa pagtitipon ang mga freshmen na nagpamalas ng angking galing at nagtamo ng pinakamataas na marka sa taunang PSUCAT. Pinangunahan ni Prof. Remedios L. Magbanua, Campus Director, ang pagbibigay ng parangal sa mga natatanging mag-aaral.

Sa huli, ang Burungitan Rites ay nagsilbing bagong simula para sa mga mag-aaral at paalala ng diwa ng pagkakaisa sa unibersidad. Isang maligayang simula para sa lahat ng estudyanteng numero uno!

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | PSU Narra faculty earns master's degree

The Butil Student Publication extends its warmest congratulations to Ms. Noriel D. Ipil for successfully completing her Master of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (MScHRM).

This remarkable academic milestone reflects her dedication, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning. Her achievement stands as an inspiration to the Palawan State University–Narra Campus community, demonstrating that excellence is attained through hard work, passion, and continuous self-improvement.

As she reaches another significant chapter in her academic journey, may this accomplishment open more opportunities to serve, lead, and inspire the next generation of learners.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗣𝗦𝗨𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻-𝗨𝗽 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲

Palawan State University – Narra Campus joined the General Clean-Up Drive on July 24, 2026, as part of the University's continuing effort to maintain a clean, organized, and student-friendly learning environment.

With brooms, dustpans, and a shared sense of responsibility, PSUans worked together in cleaning classrooms, hallways, and other areas across the campus. The activity highlighted the value of teamwork, discipline, and environmental responsibility among the student body.

Through simple acts of service, students continue to show that caring for the campus is a shared responsibility and an essential part of building a better learning community.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗼𝘀 𝗟. 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗢𝗜𝗖 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆–𝗢𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿

Another milestone has been reached as Prof. Remedios L. Magbanua, Campus Director of Palawan State University–Narra Campus, has been designated as the Officer-in-Charge (OIC), Dean of the Palawan State University–Occidental Cluster.

The appointment marks another significant chapter in Prof. Magbanua's more than two decades of dedicated service to Palawan State University. Since joining the University in 2003, she has served in various capacities from Guidance Counselor and Instructor to Assistant Professor and Campus Director consistently demonstrating exemplary leadership, commitment to academic excellence, and unwavering service to the University community.

Under her leadership, PSU Narra Campus has achieved notable milestones, including the attainment of ISO 9001:2015 Certification, the successful accreditation and evaluation of the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) and Bachelor of Science in Criminology (BSCrim) programs, and the awarding of the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) for the BSCS program. These accomplishments reflect the campus's commitment to quality education, institutional development, and the continuous pursuit of academic excellence.

Her designation as OIC Dean underscores the University's trust and confidence in her leadership as she takes on a broader responsibility in advancing collaboration, innovation, and progress across the Occidental Cluster.

The Butil Student Publication extends its warmest congratulations to Prof. Remedios L. Magbanua on this well-deserved achievement and wishes her continued wisdom, strength, and success as she embraces this new leadership role in service to the Palawan State University community.
