Highlights of August activities for NC-CES EDUKalEDAD Program

Day 1-August 5, 2025
The Norzagaray College–Community Extension Services (NC-CES), in partnership with the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), officially launched the EDUKalEDAD Program during the College’s Flag Raising Ceremony (hosted by the College of Education). The beneficiaries of the program—twenty-five (25) volunteer senior citizens from Norzagaray—were formally presented to the NC community.

The orientation served as an avenue to introduce the objectives and planned activities of EDUKalEDAD, emphasizing the importance of empowering senior citizens through active participation in community-based initiatives.

Present during the event were Hon. Maria Elena L. Germar, Municipal Mayor; Dr. Ma. Liberty DG. Pascual, College President; the Academic Deans; the CES Coordinator; faculty and staff; the CES Student Club; and student-volunteers.

August 28, 2025 | The Norzagaray College Office of Community Extension Services, in coordination with Food for the Hungry, successfully conducted a Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Seminar at the NC-AVR. The activity was participated in by forty (40) freshmen students coming from the different departments, namely BSED, BEED, BSCS and BSHM. The seminar, which ran from 9:00am to 11:30am, aimed to enhance students’ awareness and preparedness in responding to disasters, equipping them with essential knowedge and skills to ensure safety and resilience within the community.

February 21, 2025 | NC-CES headed by its Coordinator, Ms. Ma. Jeanette C. Pascual, presided the meeting with the CES officers and focal persons. Dr. Ma. Liberty DG. Pascual - College President was present during the meeting. Her valuable insights and meaningful suggestions were acknowledged and will put into action. The Academic Deans, Dean of Student Affairs, Faculty President and Student Council President were all present during the meeting. Agenda includes the Reconstitution of CES Officers, Establishment of different Committees and CES Technical Working Group who will work on the crafting of CES manual. It was indeed a tiring yet productive day for us. 😍

February 21, 2025 | Norzagaray College-Community Extension Services (NC-CES) in coordination with the College of Computing Studies conducted Computer Skills Program: Basic MS Word, MS Excel and Powerpoint Application to selected barangay staff/employees of Barangays Partida, Pinagtulayan and Baraka. 2 participants from Brgy. Partida, 3 from Pinagtulayan and 3 from Baraka, total of 8 participants benefited from this program.
