The Occidental Mindoro State University–Murtha Campus successfully conducted an educational activity on 𝑯𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝑹𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔 101 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑹𝒆𝒑𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒄 𝑨𝒄𝒕 𝑵𝒐. 11036, or the 𝑴𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝑨𝒄𝒕, on September 25, 2026, at the Lecture Hall, OMSU–Murtha Campus.

The activity featured 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐚 of the Commission on Human Rights (CHR)–MIMAROPA Regional Office as the resource speaker, who shared valuable insights on human rights promotion, protection, and mental health awareness.

The event was successfully led and coordinated by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐕. 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐬, Guidance Coordinator of Murtha Campus, whose efforts contributed to the meaningful and organized conduct of the activity. The visiting CHR representatives were warmly welcomed by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐍𝐢𝐦𝐟𝐚 𝐁. 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐚, Campus Director, highlighting the campus’s support for initiatives that promote human rights and mental well-being.

The activity was made more meaningful through the active participation and attentive engagement of the students and faculty members, who listened attentively to the discussions, participated in the learning activities, and showed keen interest in the topics presented. Their active involvement reflected the campus community’s commitment to developing greater awareness of human rights and mental health.

The successful activity strengthened the OMSU–Murtha Campus community’s understanding of human rights, mental health, dignity, and well-being, further advancing the institution’s commitment to holistic education and the promotion of a safe, inclusive, and rights-based academic environment.

𝐎𝐌𝐒𝐔 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 “𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐞 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲” 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡

The Occidental Mindoro State University (OMSU) – Murtha Campus held its “Movie Employees Day” on September 24, 2026, at the OMSU Murtha Campus Lecture Hall, as part of the celebration of the 126th Civil Service Anniversary and 2026 Civil Service Month.

This year’s celebration carries the theme, “𝑩𝙖𝒘𝙖𝒕 𝑲𝙖𝒘𝙖𝒏𝙞, 𝑳𝙞𝒏𝙜𝒌𝙤𝒅 𝑩𝙖𝒚𝙖𝒏𝙞: 𝑷𝙪𝒔𝙤, 𝑫𝙖𝒏𝙜𝒂𝙡, 𝒂𝙩 𝙂𝒂𝙡𝒊𝙣𝒈 𝑷𝙖𝒓𝙖 𝙨𝒂 𝑩𝙖𝒚𝙖𝒏.” The activity provided employees with an opportunity to relax, unwind, and enjoy meaningful moments of camaraderie as part of the month-long celebration.

The activity was organized by the Human Resource Office (HR Office) – Murtha Campus, headed by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐆𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐅. 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐬𝐢𝐝, in coordination with the campus administration. Through the efforts of the organizing team, the program was carried out smoothly, from the opening ceremonies and inspirational messages to the provision of refreshments and the scheduled movie screenings.

The program began with a prayer and the singing of the National Anthem. Administrative Officer V 𝐌𝐬. 𝐍𝐞𝐥𝐦𝐚 𝐒. 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳 delivered the welcome remarks, followed by messages from Campus Director 𝐃𝐫. 𝐍𝐢𝐦𝐟𝐚 𝐁. 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐚 and Associate Dean 𝐌𝐬. 𝐑𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐢 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐃. 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐨𝐟𝐞, who shared words of encouragement and appreciation for the dedication and service of the employees.

Adding to the enjoyable experience were free snacks for the employees, including popcorn, biscuits, and drinks, through the generous support of VPRDE and concurrent College of Agriculture Dean 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐨 𝐆. 𝐎𝐫𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐨.

The movie lineup featured Colony, Project Hail Mary, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, Final Destination: Bloodlines, and Locked (2025). A lunch break was observed from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, after which the movie screenings continued in the afternoon.

More than a day of entertainment, the celebration served as an opportunity for the employees of OMSU Murtha Campus to strengthen camaraderie, take a well-deserved break, and recognize their shared commitment to serving the university and the public.
