Last semester, we lived moments that mattered. From welcoming new faces to celebrating victories, every step we took wove a story of unity and the courage to rise together. Each event became a thread in a larger storyโ€”a story of trying fearlessly and giving our whole selves as future educators shaping the lives of others.

In facing each moment, we uncovered how our choices and actions were guided by something greater than ourselves. Faith shaped our choices, service fueled our actions, and community became the strength that lifted us. In every challenge we faced, every hand offered, every lesson embraced, and every milestone reached, we discovered the true meaning of growthโ€”together, with purpose, and with hearts committed to one another.

Looking back on the semester, we carry with us the memories and the connections that have shaped who we are. These experiences guide us as we step forward, ready to teach with compassion and shape a future where our actions leave a lasting legacy of inspiration.

Paving the Way for Professional Excellence! ๐Ÿ’„โœจ

The College of Teacher Education takes a bold step toward holistic teacher preparation! Today, our BEEd department successfully pioneered a first-of-its-kind Professional Grooming and Makeup Workshop.

We believe that looking the part is just as important as knowing the lesson. This innovation is designed to empower our future educators with the confidence and visual presence needed for the teaching profession.
A massive thank you to our very own BPEd alumnus and renowned local makeup artist, Mr. Allen Roque Espinosa, for sharing his expertise and "returning home" to mentor his fellow educators.

LSU CTE holds pre-deployment orientation for pre-service teachers

As part of its continuing commitment to holistic teacher formation and quality internship preparation, the College of Teacher Education (CTE) of La Salle University conducted the Pre-deployment Orientation for Pre-service Teachers at the Waling-Waling Hall, La Salle University, January 7, 2026.

Dr. Rowell C. Villarubia, Education Program Supervisor for Mathematics and the Student Interns Deployment In-Charge, equipped the pre-service teachers with essential reminders, guidelines, and clearly defined responsibilities as they prepare for their deployment to various cooperating schools.

He further inspired the student interns to give their best in their every teaching.

"Shoot for the moon; even if you'll miss, you will land among the stars," Villarubia urged the interns.

A significant highlight of the program was the orientation on the Child Protection Policy, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding learnersโ€™ rights, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment, and upholding professional accountability.

Ms. Arlene S. Via, Senior Education Program Specialist for Social Mobilization and Networking, reaffirmed the vital role of teachers as protectors, mentors, and role models in the lives of learners.

The CTE, through its College Dean Dr. Jackjun G. Caupayan, expressed its deepest gratitude to the Schools Division Office of Ozamiz City for its unwavering support and partnership, headed by Schools Division Superintendent Lorena P. Serrano, CESO VI, together with Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dionesio L. Liwagon Jr., CESE, and Dr. May P. Edullantes, Chief of the Curriculum Implementation Division, for their invaluable guidance and collaboration in ensuring a smooth and meaningful deployment process.

CTE likewise conveyed its sincerest appreciation to the school principals and administrators of the cooperating schools for opening their doors to future educators and serving as partners in teacher formation. These include Dr. Jean B. Alindo of Ozamiz City School of Arts and Trades, duly represented by Head Teacher Ms. Julieta H. Bitay; Dr. Estelita C. Saquin of San Antonio National High School, represented by Head Teacher Ms. Johnaline L. Pines; Mr. Randy Hubahib of Jose Lim Ho National High School; and Ms. Jovy O. Bonita of Baybay Central School, duly represented by Faculty President Mr. Hernane Abarco.

Through this initiative, the College of Teacher Education once again affirmed its mission to produce competent, values-driven, and service-oriented educators, imbued with Lasallian ideals of faith, service, and communion.

As pre-service teachers embark on their internship journey, CTE remains steadfast in its vision of being a center of teacher training, forming educators who are not only academically prepared but also ethically grounded and socially responsive.

Padayon, future teachers. Your journey of shaping minds and transforming lives begins now.
