In a continuous effort to promote a healthier and more sustainable environment, the City Government of Alaminos, through the 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑬𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆 (CENRO), has collaborated with the 𝑫𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑻𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒏𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒚–𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑰 (DOST R1) and the 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔–𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑨𝒊𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 𝒊𝒏 𝑼𝒓𝒃𝒂𝒏 𝑬𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 (UP CARE). The joint team conducted a comprehensive site visitation and evaluation at the PSU–Alaminos City Campus on May 22, 2026. The activity is geared toward assessing the campus as a strategic location for a proposed Air Quality Monitoring Device.

Spearheading the assessment on the ground were Campus Administrative Officer 𝑫𝒓. 𝑨𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒐 𝑭. 𝑶𝒃𝒐𝒛𝒂 and Campus Coordinator for Energy Efficiency, Solid Waste Management, and Pollution Control 𝑫𝒓. 𝑬𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏 𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝑩. 𝑼𝒈𝒂𝒍𝒅𝒆. They joined CENRO Officers led by 𝑴𝒔. 𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒆 𝑺. 𝑨𝒓𝒖𝒆𝒍𝒐 and representatives from DOST and UP CARE to pinpoint the ideal installation site for the device.

As the first campus in the region to receive this device, PSU-ACC extends its sincerest gratitude to the LGU of Alaminos City, led by 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒐𝒓 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝑩𝒓𝒚𝒂𝒏 𝑪. 𝑪𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒆, for choosing the institution for this vital initiative that aims to safeguard the health of both the campus and the community.

Alaminos City Mayor 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝑩𝒓𝒚𝒂𝒏 𝑪. 𝑪𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒆, proudly extended his warmest congratulations to the first-ever board exam topnotchers from the PSU-Alaminos City Campus in the recent March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT).

The city mayor personally welcomed the achievers to honor their dedication and hard work, which have placed Alaminos City on the map of academic excellence. Joining the topnotchers during the courtesy call was College Dean 𝑫𝒓. 𝑱𝒐𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑺. 𝑫𝒆 𝑽𝒆𝒓𝒂 and with the support of the Campus Executive Director 𝑫𝒓. 𝑳𝒊𝒛𝒂 𝑳. 𝑸𝒖𝒊𝒎𝒔𝒐𝒏, whose unwavering leadership continues to steer the campus toward excellent academic performances.

Guided by the theme “Celebrating Unity, Creativity, and Academic Excellence for Transformative Learning,” Campus Fest 2026 showcased incredible talent and collaboration. Held from May 11 to 14, the event successfully unfolded through the collective efforts of various academic organizations under the leadership of Campus Executive Director 𝑫𝒓. 𝑳𝒊𝒛𝒂 𝑳. 𝑸𝒖𝒊𝒎𝒔𝒐𝒏, alongside Dean of Student and Alumni Affairs 𝑫𝒓. 𝑺𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒂 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒆 𝑰. 𝑫𝒊𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒔.

The four-day festival commenced with a parade and an opening program, setting a high-energy tone for a week of academic engagement and student participation. In the afternoon, various academic competitions kicked off, allowing students to showcase their passion for excellence.

As the festivities continued, each college conducted activities tailored to its respective field. The College of Teacher Education (CTE), headed by Dean 𝑫𝒓. 𝑱𝒐𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑺. 𝑫𝒆 𝑽𝒆𝒓𝒂, held demonstration teaching and lesson planning sessions, reflecting the commitment of future educators to meaningful and transformative learning. Meanwhile, the College of Management and Technology (CMT), headed by 𝑫𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝑫𝒓. 𝑷𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒐 𝑫. 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒆 𝑱𝒓., showcased practical industry skills through hospitality activities and a business conference that encouraged professionalism and innovation among the students.

The third day featured events that promoted wellness, culture, and entertainment, including a Fun Run, Laro ng Lahi, and the much-anticipated Got Talent competition. These activities strengthened mutual support among peers while highlighting the diverse talents within the campus community.

The event concluded with one of the most eagerly awaited highlights of the festival: the Mr. and Ms. Ambassador and Ambassadress 2026 competition, where Ian Jay Corpuz and Canah Leah Bernardo, both representing LAKBAY-Turismo, were crowned titleholders. This was followed by an afternoon awarding ceremony recognizing the achievements and active participation of students and organizations throughout the entire event.

More than just a campus celebration, Campus Fest 2026 reflected the institution’s deep commitment to holistic student development and transformative learning. Through the vibrant participation of students and academic organizations, the festival served as a powerful platform for promoting academic excellence, creativity, cultural appreciation, and leadership within the campus community.

PSU – Alaminos City Campus once again proved its commitment to academic excellence as 156 of its graduates successfully passed the 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 2026 𝑳𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝑬𝒙𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒇𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑻𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔 (𝑳𝑬𝑷𝑻), cementing the institution's reputation as one of the leading teacher education schools in the region.

The recent results of the LEPT reflect a strong and commendable performance across both the elementary and secondary levels. In the Elementary Education level, the campus posted an overall performance rate of 𝟖𝟕.𝟑𝟕%, with first-time takers recording an impressive passing rate of 𝟖𝟖.𝟖𝟗%. The Secondary Education level performed even stronger, achieving an overall performance rate of 𝟗𝟑.𝟎𝟐%, while first-time takers in the secondary level reached an outstanding 𝟗𝟑.𝟗𝟎% passing rate.

This achievement stands as a testament of the university’s unwavering commitment to producing high-caliber professionals under the leadership of University President 𝑫𝒓. 𝑬𝒍𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒕 𝑴. 𝑮𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒔. 𝐏𝐒𝐔-𝐀𝐂𝐂 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠. 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞

𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒖𝒓 𝑭. 𝑪𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒆, 1st District Representative of Pangasinan, paid a courtesy visit to the PSU-Alaminos City Campus on May 14, 2026. His visit reflects his continued support for the premier university in Western Pangasinan, as he took the opportunity to personally witness the academic and extracurricular excellence being fostered within the campus.

A key highlight of the visit was a special meeting between Cong. Celeste and the campus’s board exam topnotchers. The representative expressed his deep admiration for the achievers, commending them for bringing pride not only to the university and the campus, but to the entire first district.

Following this, Cong. Celeste joined University President 𝑫𝒓. 𝑬𝒍𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒕 𝑴. 𝑮𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒔 and Campus Executive Director 𝑫𝒓. 𝑳𝒊𝒛𝒂 𝑳. 𝑸𝒖𝒊𝒎𝒔𝒐𝒏 for a tour of the campus. Addressing the student body at the campus covered court, Cong. Celeste reaffirmed that the existing court, which was damaged by previous typhoons, will be renovated to ensure the safety of everyone.

Dr. Galas and Dr. Quimson expressed their gratitude to Cong. Celeste for his unwavering dedication to the university’s growth and his commitment to improving its facilities.
