Yes!!! They did it again!!!

The triadic Sierra Madre, Caraballo and Cordillera Mountain ranges are Northern Luzon's remaining protectors from deadly lashes of typhoon including Super Typhoon Uwan.

Though they seem standing majestic, the Storm Breakers of the North are already suffering from extensive damages due to human greed and negligence.

So while there is time… let’s protect them at all cost. Before it’s too late.

Protect our Protectors.

A time of Storm- A time of Faith- A time of Brotherhood🦅🦅🦅

To trust God in the storm, and find rest in the midst of it, is choosing to trust in the Lord with all our heart, and to lean not on our own understanding.

But weathering the storm without being weathered with a brother born to help in time of need, is a divine insight that we are not alone.

Thank you very much to our ever dependable partner- RFM Corporation Bakery Division, St Joseph the Worker Parish and to our very dedicated Tatay/Kuya Frontuna Garote, Kuya Michael Francis Caraca Garote and Bunso Lucas Garote. Know that your abounding work in the Lord will never be in vain.

Together , let’s be steadfast and immovable, drawing strength from God in this overwhelming times.

Keep safe everyone!!!

🌲 Sierra Madre: The Invisible Wall That Shields Luzon from the Storm 🌊⛰️

Stretching more than 500 kilometers from Cagayan down to Quezon, the Sierra Madre stands as Luzon’s silent guardian — a vast green wall shielding millions of Filipinos from the Pacific’s relentless typhoons. Often called the “Invisible Wall of the Pacific,” this mountain range has saved countless lives by absorbing the first and fiercest blows of tropical storms before they reach the lowlands.

When typhoons charge in from the east, Sierra Madre breaks their momentum. Though the range stands only 1.5 kilometers high — small compared to the 15-kilometer vertical reach of typhoons — studies show it can reduce wind hazards by 1% to 13% in surrounding areas and slow storm movement, giving cities like Manila and Bulacan critical protection.

But this protection comes at a cost: slower storms linger longer, releasing heavier rainfall that heightens flood risks in parts of Luzon. This delicate balance shows the mountain’s dual nature — both a shield and a storm mirror, deflecting wind while amplifying rain.

Beyond its role in weather defense, Sierra Madre is a living ark of biodiversity, housing nearly 40% of the Philippines’ remaining forests and thousands of endemic species found nowhere else on Earth. Yet, its strength is fading. Illegal logging, mining, slash-and-burn farming, and unchecked infrastructure projects are carving away its forests, weakening its ability to protect the land and people below.

To lose the Sierra Madre is to dismantle our natural fortress. It is the Philippines’ first line of defense — against storms, against floods, against a future unprepared for climate change.

✨ Protecting the Sierra Madre means protecting ourselves. The wall that shields us cannot stand if we let it fall.
