Located in the scenic hills of San Mateo, Rizal our lodge operates under the Independent Ancient Order of Free Gardeners Philippines

We are a fraternal ancient society dedicated to personal growth, charity, and the symbolic lessons of nature. Like the strong Kamagong tree and the enduring Sierra Madre mountains, we strive to cultivate virtue and brotherhood in our community.

This month's Central London Historic Collections Group theme is Gardens so we thought we'd introduce this collar jewel from the Ancient Order of Free Gardners.

This order has its roots in seventeenth-century Scotland before spreading to England and Ireland. Societies of Free Gardeners existed to promote, regulate and support gardening and gardeners, eventually focussing on mutual aid. They provided help for members who were sick, offered pensions and made grants to those who needed them.

This jewel includes a crown, a pruning knife, and the familiar All-Seeing Eye, Sun, Moon and Volume of Sacred Law on a pedestal. On the pedestal are the letters A, N and S, referencing the three degrees of the Order - Adam, the initiation; Noah, the second; and Solomon, the third.
