Our tree-planting endeavor has sprouted into reality. Each sapling stands as a testament to what we can achieve together as a community. Indeed, this was never possible without everyone’s aggregated efforts. Thank you very much to every eco-warrior who took part in making the success of this year's AGB! Finally, our quest to plant the seeds of change in Mt. Balagbag has come to an end. But even as the journey ends, may we continue onward with our green revolution!

Every day is a good opportunity to promote environmental protection, preserve nature, and raise awareness of these issues. As we celebrate the World Nature Conservation Day on July 28, may we be reminded of our natural environment's efforts to offer us with a plethora of services and resources and understand that it is our responsibility to return the same care back.

As part of the celebration and the organization`s 38th year as an organization, the UP Aggregates, Inc. through Aggre Gives Back is proud to announce that we will be joining the Balagbag Environmental Society Incorporated (BESI) for a tree-planting activity that will be held on 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐆𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐮𝐧𝐤 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞, 𝐌𝐭.𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐚𝐠 (𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭).

BESI has continuously been the home of great sustainability programs such as tree planting and nurturing activities, clean up drives, and reforestation projects. They are committed to primarily maintain our mountain range and sustain the life and cleanliness of Sierra Madre and Ipo Watershed.

Trees function like efficient machines that continuously improve the quality of life on Earth. From acting as carbon storage and aiding soil conservation and water regeneration to supporting human food systems and providing a habitat to different species — their services are invaluable to this planet.

However, deforestation activities and forest fires have surged in recent years and since entering the industrial era, forests have declined by 32%. The number of trees has dwindled. We should not wait until every available tree has fallen before learning to appreciate its value. And we can do so by planting seeds of change.

AGB 2023 is all about tree planting. Tree planting initiatives not only help us improve the quality of life on Earth but also give us the opportunity to foster community involvement and empowerment.
