[CALL FOR DONATIONS]

Hello po! We’d like to ask for assistance for John Andrew Lerasan, a 3rd year financial aid scholar from BS Psychology. Last Saturday, April 11, Drew sustained a severe arm injury and was rushed to The Medical City ER. While he is currently stabilized, he is in need of surgery as soon as possible and is taking consistent medication to prevent further complications. The surgery is of highest priority as the longer without it, the higher the likelihood the blood vessel in the arm cannot fully recover and permanently cut off circulation from the rest of his arm.

Drew is now in need of assistance, especially as this takes a major hit on their finances and Drew’s ability to attend and perform in his classes and other responsibilities. Any kindness would be a great help.

[WATCH] “Kaya sa tingin ko yung EDSA kailangan natin siyang gawing pang araw-araw na panata, dahil panata ito walang isang araw na kailangan na dapat natin ma-miss. Bawat pagkakataon na maging mabuting Pilipino para sa pamilya, para sa kapwa at para sa Diyos, dapat natin itong i-grab. Kailangan natin itong agad-agad na hawakan at gawin.”

40 taon na mula ang EDSA People Power Revolution at lagpas isang buwan mula sa komemorasyon nito, patuloy pa rin ang laban ng sambayanang Pilipino. Sa Panayam na ito, ipinahayag ni Mr. Oliver Quintana mula sa Ateneo Martial Law Museum ang mga paraan kung paano pa mas mapapaigting at mapapalalim ang pag-alala sa EDSA.

40 taon na mula ang EDSA People Power Revolution, patuloy pa rin ang laban ng sambayanang Pilipino. Sa Panayam na ito, ipinahayag nI Dra. Cristina J. Montiel, isang Martial Law survivor ang kanyang naratibo at ang pag-asa para sa pagpapatuloy pa ng People Power na hindi lamang nakalimita sa lugar at araw noong EDSA at bagkus ay higit pa rito at sumasapanahon pa rin hanggang ngayon.

A fire ravaged through a portion of the community of Parola, in Tondo, Manila. It has affected 349 families, spanning from Gates 8 to 12 on March 6, Friday. Currently, Urban Poor Associates and its community organizers are looking for donations to raise funds to host a food drive to provide relief to the affected residents of Parola as they work on rebuilding their homes and healing one another from the fire.

Your donations are highly valued and any amount you donate will be greatly appreciated to both the drive and the community! Should you wish to donate, please scan the Gcash or BPI QR codes.
