UP Babaylan proudly endorses its current member, “Tristan” Aguillar, together with the UP Alyansa slate, as they affirm the call to run for several positions in the University Student Council Elections.

Aspiring to become the next “Gender Councilor” and serving as one of the forefronts of Project Sarili—a research-based initiative of UP Babaylan for TGNC students, staff, and faculty that advocates for a gender-inclusive and affirming healthcare in UP Diliman—we believe that Tristan’s dedication to building a just, inclusive, and affirming space for people of all identities, guided by the UP Alyansa slate, is exactly what the University needs in building a genuinely inclusive UPD where no student is left behind.

A BIG STEP FOR GENDER INCLUSIVE AND AFFIRMING HEALTHCARE IN UP DILIMAN 🌈🏳️‍⚧️

In creating spaces for dialogue, we make visible what has long been overlooked. After a month-long consultation with our UP consitutents, Project SARILI’s roundtable discussion brought together offices across UP Diliman to collectively envision a future with an accessible gender-inclusive and gender affirming healthcare for all.

The discussion surfaced critical gaps, ongoing challenges, and opportunities for strengthening gender-inclusive healthcare systems within the university. More importantly, it underscored a shared responsibility—to move beyond conversation and toward concrete, sustained action.

This is not the final step, but a step forward. Project SARILI remains committed to advancing a healthcare system that affirms the dignity, identities, and needs of every student, staff member, and member of the UP Diliman community.

Ang nagngingitngit na galit ng sangkabaklaan ay patuloy na bubuhos ngayong at hinding-hindi ito matatapos hangga't ang lahat ng sangkot ay hindi pa rin nananagot.

Tindig ng mga baklang ipinagkait ang hustisya at pantay na karapatan ating ibandera. Lakas loob na isigaw ang espasyong ipinaglaban na rin natin kahit noon pa.

Tulad ng makasaysayang paglaban natin sa EDSA, tayo ay muling gagawa ng kasaysayang bubuwag sa sistemang korupt, mapagdamot at higit sa lahat nagnanakaw—mula sa ating mga karapatan hanggang sa pera ng taumbayan.

Para sa ligtas, malaya,at pantay na lipunan! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈
