Jollibee Group Foundation and its partners established the Farmer Entrepreneurship Program (FEP) in 2008 to increase the income of smallholder farmers by linking them to companies such as Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC). In 2017 alone, 12 farming groups delivered vegetables generating sales worth over P55M. FEP demonstrated that if farmers were provided with trainings on leadership and management

, they can directly supply companies and earn significantly more. But, there is more that can be done to promote agriculture and help farmers have sustainable livelihood. Other sectors need to be involved and the YOUTH has a role to play. Because of the youth's passion and enthusiasm for good and positive ideas, they can create product, service, or process innovations that will promote agriculture and help farmers have sustainable livelihood.

The Youth Challenge is open to students from the following participating colleges and universities:

1. STI Ortigas - Cainta
4. Batangas State University
5. First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities
6. University of San Carlos
7. Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan
