The UST Law Debate and Moot Society (ULDMS) proudly concludes its participation in the recent Movement Against Disinformation (MAD) x Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Debate Cup, emerging as Quarterfinalists and Semifinalists.
The tournament was held at the Lyceum of the Philippines University โ College of Law in Makati City last November 16, 2025 (Sunday), with the Quarterfinals and Semifinals conducted on November 22, 2025 (Saturday).
For the Quarterfinalists, the team was composed of Alessandra Pauline J. Caballero (1C), Patrick Ryan R. Ramiento (3E), and Francis Pollox G. Agaloos (1AA), who delivered an impressive performance throughout the preliminary rounds leading to their break.
As for our Semifinalists, the contingent was composed of Aubrey Jestine T. Matitu (3A), Krislen Gaile G. Bismonte (3A), and Charlotte Marie Nicole D. Reyes (1H), who showcased remarkable determination and excellence in advancing to the semifinal round.
The teams were also supported by their outstanding Researchers, Patricia Mae O. Rebong (3A) and Emmanuel Jose O. Collado (4C), whose work significantly contributed to the strength of the arguments presented.
These achievements would not have been possible without the unwavering guidance of the Coaching Staff, led by Joelle Joie B. Cruz (Head Coach), alongside Ian Ralph C. Uytico (Assistant Coach), Exelcis D. Bernal, Sophia Marionne S. Salonga, Atty. Marc Gabriel Abella, and John Anndrew S. Tenecio, all of whom devoted their time, effort, and expertise to prepare the teams.
This is only the beginning of a long road toward brilliance, a promising start that reflects the hard work, grit, and talent of our competitors. The organization is immensely proud of each one of you. As we move forward, may this momentum continue to inspire excellence in every step we take. ๐
