๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ | ๐๐ฆ๐ฑ๐ต๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ณ ๐ฃ๐ซ, ๐ค๐ข๐ค๐จ โMembers of the Kautoran Organization San Agustin Chapter took part in the 2026 International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) held on Saturday, September 19, at Sitio Sawang, Barangay Dubduban, San Agustin, Romblon.
The simultaneous coastal cleanup activity began at 6:00 a.m. and was organized in coordination with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of San Agustin. Various Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and their members were invited to participate in the environmental activity.
Responding to the LGU's invitation, members of the Kautoran Organization San Agustin Chapter joined fellow volunteers in supporting the community-wide effort to keep the municipality's coastal areas clean and help promote environmental responsibility.
The activity brought together members and volunteers from the organization, including Clyd Noel Galicia Mangalinao, Yhen Montesa, Ruel Solano, Manayon Piolo, Cy, Lokoy, Ladigohon Jun, Jerold Pereyra Teodoro, Ernie Manayon, and Joel Villar Kalinga Vlog, alongside the organization's president.
The International Coastal Cleanup is an opportunity for communities to work together in addressing coastal and marine pollution. Beyond collecting waste, the initiative encourages greater awareness of proper waste management and the importance of protecting the country's coastal ecosystems.
For the Kautoran Organization San Agustin Chapter, participation in the cleanup reflects its commitment to community involvement and environmental stewardship. The organization's members joined other volunteers in showing that protecting San Agustin's coastline is a shared responsibility.
With the scenic mountains and tropical landscape of San Agustin serving as the backdrop, the day's activity was a reminder that community cooperation and bayanihan remain powerful tools in caring for the environment.
