The University of the Assumption, through the University Library and Archives and the Center for Cultural and Literary Studies, proudly presents the ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐จ ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐๐๐.
With the theme:

the conference commemorates the 35th year of the 1991 Mt. Pinatubo eruption by bringing together scholars, researchers, artists, cultural workers, educators, students, and community leaders to reflect on the enduring impact of Pinatubo on culture, heritage, memory, environment, and identity.

We are honored to welcome ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐ฒ๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐๐ฉ๐๐ฌ as the conference keynote speaker.
Ms. Sulapas is a Senior Science Research Specialist at the NOAH Center of the UP Resilience Institute, specializing in hazard assessment, geohazards, GIS, and remote sensing. With more than 11 years of experience as a Geologist, her work focuses on seismic and volcanic hazards, ground deformation monitoring, and community resilience. She recently completed her Master of Science in Geology at UP Diliman and continues to advocate for science communication and disaster preparedness. Drawing lessons from major hazardous eventsโincluding the 1991 Mt. Pinatubo eruptionโher work emphasizes the importance of integrating geohazard monitoring with community preparedness and resilience-building efforts.
