The 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (CGEAD) Office spearheaded a transformative session at the recent Student-Leader and Teacher-Advisers Assembly, A.S.C.E.N.D. 2025, held on November 26 at the San Pablo Convention Center.

This focused contribution ensures that our leaders are equipped not just with knowledge, but with the tools to champion true gender equality and create a safe, respectful space across our campus community.

CGEAD Advocate, Mr. Jhuncel Manalo Deriquito, of the College of Arts and Sciences, led a crucial discussion that covered:

• 𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗚𝗘𝗔𝗗 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀: Detailing the mechanisms available for reporting, counseling, and support for gender-related concerns.

• 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗺 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼. 𝟯, 𝘀. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮: Providing clarity on the institutional mandate for integrating GAD in higher education.

• 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 (𝗥𝗔 𝟵𝟳𝟭𝟬): Highlighting the comprehensive human rights of Filipino women and the state's responsibilities to eliminate discrimination.

• 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗰𝘁 (𝗥𝗔 𝟭𝟭𝟯𝟭𝟯): Emphasizing the protection against gender-based sexual harassment in public spaces, educational institutions, workplaces, and online.

Further amplifying the call to action, CGEAD Director Mr. Mark Francis Palines Donato, passionately urged every participant to join the collective and sustained effort to 𝘌𝘕𝘋 𝘝𝘪𝘰𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘈𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘞𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯 (VAWC).

Alongside PLSP-CGEAD, we ascend! Becoming the change for a gender-equal future, anchored in law and committed to safety.

Nominations Now Open: DALUBSANDIGAN & DALUBGABAY Awards!

Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng San Pablo, through the PRAISE Committee, is honoring the incredible dedication of our students’ solo parents. These awards celebrate fathers (Dalubsandigan) and mothers (Dalubgabay) who exemplify resilience, sacrifice, strong values, and unwavering support for their child’s education.

Who can be nominated?

Documented solo parents with at least one child currently enrolled at PLSP

Actively involved in their child’s academic journey

Of good moral standing and positive community involvement

How to nominate:
Approach your Dean’s Office or the GAD Advocate of your College to submit nominations. Each college may nominate one solo parent, and the PRAISE Committee, with the guidance of GAD Advocates, will assist nominees in completing their submissions.

Nomination period ends on November 28, 2025.
