𝙎𝙖𝙣 𝙅𝙪𝙖𝙣, 𝙎𝙖𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙤 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙇𝙖𝙜𝙪𝙣𝙖, for the project entitled 𝐆𝐢𝐲𝐚-𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐬 𝐓𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐨 𝐬𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐚 𝐁𝐮𝐤𝐚𝐬: 𝐀 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠.

This initiative aims to promote awareness of good governance, human rights, and anti-corruption among the youth of the barangay. Through education, community engagement, and collaborative action, the program seeks to empower young leaders to become responsible, ethical, and active participants in building a transparent and accountable community.

The event was convened by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝘇𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗘𝗻𝗿𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘇,LPT, Department Chair of the Bachelor of Public Administration, and was graced by the presence of the 𝘿𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙗𝙝𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙖𝙣'𝙨 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙨:

The event would not have been possible without the perseverance and dedication of the program extensionist, Mr. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗔. 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗼, LPT, from the request for project approval until the signing of the MOA.

Sincere gratitude also goes to the partner barangay, Brgy. San Juan: first, to the ever-supportive Barangay Chairman, 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗛. 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗱𝗮; the SK Chairwoman, 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗠𝗮. 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗣. 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮, 𝗟𝗣𝗧, represented by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗼-𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿, member of the Katipunan ng Kabataan; the Barangay Councilors; and the Katipunan ng Kabataan, for warmly opening their doors to partner with the 𝘽𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙋𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝘼𝙙𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.

The MOA signing represents more than a formal agreement. It signifies a shared commitment among the institution, the community, and the people to bring learning beyond the classroom and transform it into meaningful action. By connecting academic expertise with community needs, the extension project opens opportunities to understand their greater responsibility in nation-building.

Through this project, may the youth be guided toward integrity, accountability, and public service.

A project works best when it is done 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 the community and 𝗙𝗢𝗥 the community.

Behind every public servant, professional, student, and community member is a person who may be carrying challenges we cannot always see. Let us create spaces where it is okay to pause, to ask for help, to listen without judgment, and to care for one another.

As the 𝘼𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙋𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝘼𝙙𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, we believe that building healthier communities begins with recognizing that mental well-being matters—not only in times of crisis, but every day.

BPA CURRICULUM REVIEW: Building a Stronger Future for Public Administration

The Alliance of Public Administration (ALPA) proudly supports the BPA Curriculum Review, a meaningful initiative aimed at evaluating and enhancing the Bachelor of Public Administration curriculum to ensure that it remains relevant, responsive, and aligned with the demands of contemporary governance and public service.

As part of this process, the program seeks to incorporate the recommendations of the accreditors, particularly the integration of Governance Institutions and Anti-Corruption Strategies and Human Rights and Development—essential areas that strengthen the values of integrity, accountability, transparency, respect for human rights, and ethical public service among future public administrators.

This initiative was spearheaded by BPA Program Chair, Atty. Immaculate Mariel Plantilla, J.D., and BPA Department Chair, Ms. Czarina Enriquez, LPT, whose dedication continues to advance quality education and curriculum development.
