The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College- Sta. Maria Campus joins the Philippine Commission on Women and the whole nation in celebrating the National Women’s Month this March 2023.

The 2023 celebration marks a juncture in the advancement of women's rights as it launches a new recurring theme from this year to 2028: WE for gender equality and inclusive society. It sparks a renewed commitment to advocacy and banks on the gains achieved during the 2016-2022 theme, WE Make CHANGE Work for Women, which emphasized the need for compassionate and harmonized networks towards gender equality and women’s empowerment (GEWE).

Together with the faculty and students, we celebrate Women's month by wearing purple or a touch of purple to symbolize our support.

Make this your Wednesday habit this month of March! Maki-isa sa Purple Wednesdays bilang suporta sa karapatan ng mga kababaihan at pagkakapantay-pantay ng kasarian. Just wear anything purple on all Wednesdays of March, especially on the International Women’s Day on March 8. You can also take photos and post them with the hashtags and ! 💜

Presidential Proclamation No. 683 declared February of every year as National Arts Month to celebrate artistic excellence and pay tribute to the uniqueness and diversity of the Filipino heritage and culture.

The Philippine Commission on Women supports the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in celebrating the 2023 National Arts Month. This year’s theme, ANI NG SINING, BUNGA NG GALING, aims to immerse Filipinos in diverse cultural expressions and celebrate the bountiful harvest of the Filipino imagination.

We salute women and girls whose “galing” in the arts contribute in the cultural treasure of the country, especially iin this post-pandemic setting where arts heal, rebuild, and restore.

Ang Pebrero ay Philippine Heart Month!

Ito ay idineklara sa bisa ng Proclamation No. 1096 na nilagdaan noong Enero 9, 1973 upang isulong ang kamalayan sa iba't ibang sakit sa puso bilang seryoso at lumalaking alalahanin sa kalusugan ng mga Pilipino. Ito rin ay upang hikayatin ang suporta ng publiko para sa adbokasiya ng pagtataguyod ng cardiovascular health at wellness.
