To All the Students of PMI Quezon City:
Though some of you may have heard and saw the members of the 3rd Party, I would like to use this medium - Social Media to present and formally lay down our platforms:
1. We would like to do away with the traditional way of running the student council. AYAW NAMIN NA ANG MAUUPONG STUDENT COUNCIL MEMBERS AY UUPO LANG SA OFFICE.
- Ni hindi kayang gumawa ng simple report.
- Ni hindi kayang gumawa ng simpleng formal letter.
- Na walang kusa at walang gagawing meeting depende nalang kung may utos and Students Affairs Office.
- And all they do is brag about being a member/president/4th year rep o kung anumang position man ang naassign sa kanya.
- And walang ibang pinagawa sa inyo kundi bumili ng ticket dahil project ng student council at ikaw naman, you have no choice kasi there are faculty members who are taking advantage of it.
- Na instead of doing meetings each month at the very least to plan ahead on what activities can be done for the month ay walang ginawa kundi magmayabang dahil student council sila.
- Plus the fact that some of them can't even wear the proper uniform, not wearing ID, do not have the proper haircut, bring backpacks inside the campus - all because student council sila.
- Na lumalabas pa na parang sila ang may privilege dahil nga student council sila- suppose to be sila ang magiging good example para sa lahat ng students.
- Sawang sawa na kami sa ganyan! At kung sino man ang miyembro ng dating student council pasensya pero hindi nio nagawa ang dapat niong gawin!
2. We would like to make sure that all the students are well informed and make them feel that they are valued.
- Simply because all of you have the right of information. Dapat aware tayong lahat kung ano mang meron sa PMI. Sa mga policies, any activities that would concern you, you have the right to know.
- In terms of the policies, almost everyone tends to be against sa haircut policy, ang hindi pag aallow na ipasok ang backpack, kapag walang ID, not wearing proper uniform, all because you are only told na bawal at hindi pwede but you are not aware kung ano ang reason behind those policies and only if these things could have been explained to you properly. ID and uniform - it should be automatic, for a simple reason-you enrolled yourself as a student and your ID and your uniform will be used to prove your identity as a student sa school. Of course there are students na hindi nag uuniform for special reason and you can talk about it sa EXO office natin.
- With haircut and backpack, sa haircut, yes we would agree that we should not be compared to Marine Students but please make sure naman na gupit estudyante ka. Maybe there are guards na hindi aware o simply because pinagtitripan ka, you can approach us or our EXO office about it kasi hindi pwedeng ganun. They can implement the policy and sitahin ang dapat sitahin and dapat we should revisit and have a look on the proper haircut guide because most of the time it is SUBJECTIVE and we need to do about that.
- Next is sa backpack, again nagrereklamo tayo dahil ang alam lng natin is bawal at hindi pwede. We will try to explain it to you and I am hoping na if ever there is something that's missing, then we can coordinate with the security and exo. Ang pinaka main reason why it is not allowed is because of security reason. There was an incident in the past na may nagdala ng baril sa loob and we do not want than to happen again. It's better to be safe than sorry. At sana maintindihan ng lahat na hindi naman sa pinaghihinalaan ang lahat ng ganun but simply just to be safe.
- At sana maintindihan ito ng dating miyembro ng Student Council o ninuman na papasok sa Student Council na bawal ang bag and we would like to call on our security guards and exo officers not to allow anyone. Inuulit ko, anyone!
- And to make you feel that we are here for you. We will make it a point that at least once a month, we will visit your classrooms to ask for your feedbacks, suggestions or anything so that together, with your Student Council, we can come up with activities that would let us enjoy the life of being a student of PMI.
- Apart from that, we would be implementing a PMI Public Service Announcement Campaign and Student Polling System to check on you all the time.
- Any activities would be smooth and possible naman kapag alam niyo at ramdam niyo na merong Student Council. Na comfortable kayong iapproach ang Student Council knowing that your suggestion would not be rejected but always being considered.
- And since we are going to let you experience what should be like having a Student Council, we will be your guide, your inspiration to do good and a responsible individual para sa panahong tapos na ang term namin you would use our ways or even improve depending on the mood or ano ang current situation.
- At kahit paulet ulit na, uulitin ko na naman, we will be your representatives, we will be you servant leaders, we will be of your service.
3. In terms of academics and sports, we will be your "kuya and ate paturo naman". Yes tama po. Since part ng qualification ng pagtakbo ay dapat maayos ang grades mo. We are expected to be maalam or somehow we excel on subjects where you might need help. We will help you. Alam namin and pretty sure nagugulat ang ating mga transferrees and newbies kung bakit walang professor, don't worry guys napagdaanan namin yan. And to help you, we can be you ate and kuya paturo naman just approach us and let us know. If hindi magawan ng paraan ng prof, then we can be your tutor for you to understand the subject.
- And with this, we also would like to encourage everyone of the value of self study. And we are here to inspire you do that. We would like you to excel and discover all your potentials whilst in the school which will be beneficial for your future.
- Also, a message to those students who are being blackmailed by someone with their grades or anything related sa exo or violations or anything, wag kayong magpapabulag. Kung sinuman yun. You can already visualise kung anong klaseng tao sila. Gusto nila sila ang nasa kapangyarihan, they are not even qualified to do a simple task. Gusto nio ba ang mga taong wala pa ngang pwesto at kapangyarihan ay nang popower trip na ? Kung babalikan kayo sabihin nio samin at we can escalate it to the proper person.
Medyo mahaba pero sana we have passed on the message. All we want is for the betterment of the school and the welfare of the students. We are not here para lang sa pwesto, nakita namin ang sitwasyon sa PMI at nais naming tumulong.
