✨ A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE: A Recap of the CBMA 4th Tribute to Parents, Recognition Program, and Send-off Ceremony ✨
Aldersgate College Inc. – College of Business, Management and Accountancy (CBMA) successfully held its momentous joint celebration last May 21, 2026, at the Highlander Hotel and Resort, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya.
The solemn ceremony officially commenced with a warm and moving welcome address from the CBMA Dean, Marilyn C. Acob, CPA, MBA, LPT. Speaking on behalf of the CBMA and Aldersgate College Inc., she extended her profound appreciation to the pillars behind our students' success, leaving the parents with a heartfelt message of gratitude: "Agyaman kami unay kadakayo nga nagannak. Kired ken a**s yo ti namagballigi kadagitoy ubbing."
Following the welcome remarks, the CBMA community was privileged to hear from the Guest Speaker, Joan N. Nebrida, MSHRM (Assistant Professor IV, Nueva Vizcaya State University). In her powerful keynote address, she challenged the graduating batch with the reflective question, "What’s in your hands?" Leaving a lasting mark on everyone present, she left the future professionals with an inspiring truth to carry forward: "The rags in your hands today may be your riches tomorrow." Her empowering message set a profound tone for the rest of the program, encouraging our future industry leaders to uphold a tradition of excellence, resilience, and integrity as they venture into the business world.
The celebration then transitioned into a deeply emotional Tribute to Parents, highlighting the deep bonds and shared sacrifices of the academic journey. Moving messages of gratitude were delivered by graduating student representatives Marianne Faye J. Orlanes (BSA), Angella Hosea G. Tamtamoy (BSBA-FM), Tricia P. Salas (BSBA-MM), Jay Mark L. Linda (BSHM), and Arvie D. Rosario (BSTM). It was an incredibly touching segment as most of the representatives shed tears while sharing their deeply personal stories, hardships, and the beautiful journey they braved alongside their resilient batch mates. In response, words of wisdom, love, and pride were shared by Mr. Ariel M. Alabon (Father of Arish Shane V. Alabon, BSBA-MM) and Mrs. Yolanda O. Costales (Mother of Nicole Hartzel O. Costales, BSHM). This part of the program culminated in a symbolic awarding of tokens and certificates, presented to the parents to honor their unconditional love and lifelong sacrifices.
The afternoon shifted its spotlight toward academic rigor, dedication, and institutional leadership. Outstanding graduating students, accompanied by their proud parents, were formally recognized through the Departmental Awards for their exemplary performance across academic and non-academic activities. Immediately following this recognition, the newly elected CBMA Alumni Officers (Class of 2026) officially took their oath, welcoming them into the legacy of Aldersgate alumni.
To mark the definitive transition from student life to industry leadership, the Send-off Ceremony commenced as the graduates were given tokens of remembrance. The memorable day concluded beautifully with a Special Song Number performed by Ms. Annie L. Baniaga, CFMS, followed by a fellowship lunch, an exciting raffle draw, and the final singing of the Aldersgate College March.
We extend our utmost gratitude and highest respects to our esteemed College Administration, led by College President Rev. Eduardo B. Copliting Jr., Ph.D., Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) Marissa J. Taguinod, Ed.D., LPT, and Acting Vice President for Research, Development & Entrepreneurship (VP RDE) Kristian Cesar C. Ollier, LPT, MBA, whose presence and guidance made this event truly prestigious.
