The Mindanao State University โ Sultan Naga Dimaporo successfully concluded the 4th Palaro Para sa mga Estudyante, Empleyado, at mga G**o 2026, a three-day celebration of sportsmanship, unity, teamwork, and excellence among students, faculty members, and employees of the University.
The event officially commenced with a grand opening program highlighted by the assembly and parade of participants, ceremonial activities, and inspiring messages from distinguished guests and University officials. The MSU-SND community was warmly welcomed by Dr. Indihra B. Dimaporo-Tawantawan, PhD, Campus Head/Superintendent, who emphasized the value of sports in developing discipline, leadership, and camaraderie among members of the academic community.
The rationale and overview of the event were presented by Dr. Eliza A. Egos-Redondo, PhD, Dean of Instruction, followed by the official declaration of the opening of the games led by Mrs. Josephine P. Dela Torre, Sports Coordinator. The ceremonial run and lighting of the cauldron symbolized the official start of the much-anticipated sports festivities.
Messages of support and encouragement were also delivered by Hon. Niรฑo โJasperโ Nuรฑez, DepEd Political Officer; Hon. Motalib M. Dimaporo, Municipal Mayor of Sultan Naga Dimaporo; Hon. Ulwan M. Dimaporo, Municipal Vice Mayor; Hon. Sittie Aminah Q. Dimaporo, Representative of the 2nd District of Lanao del Norte; and Hon. Atty. Paisalin P.D. Tago, CPA, President of the Mindanao State University System. Their inspiring words highlighted the importance of sports as a platform for unity, character-building, and holistic development.
The opening program also featured the recognition of the March 2026 LET Passers from the College of Education and the highly anticipated Sports Skills Dance Demonstration Competition, where participants showcased not only athleticism but also creativity, coordination, and teamwork.
Throughout the three-day event, participants competed with passion, determination, and respect, embodying the true spirit of sportsmanship. More than the victories achieved and medals earned, the Palaro strengthened friendships, promoted wellness, and reinforced the sense of community that defines MSU-SND.
The University extends its sincerest gratitude to all organizers, committees, athletes, coaches, faculty members, employees, guests, and stakeholders whose unwavering support contributed to the success of this yearโs Palaro.
