The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) students turned heads at this year’s Acquaintance Party, embracing the hilariously chaotic theme “Attending the Wrong Event.” From sabong attire and prison attire to horror suits and slumber party attire, BSHM students proved that even when dressed for the completely wrong occasion, they still know how to bring the right energy to the floor.

Beyond the creative showcase on stage, the BSHM department showed off their signature precision and technical artistry by securing 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿-𝗨𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Their entry showcased sharp pleats, elegant fabric draping, and a sophisticated table setup—proving that while their outfits were intentionally out of place, their hospitality skills remain unmatched and right on target.

On September 14, 2026, the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) program successfully conducted its first general assembly for the academic year, bringing together the newly designated classroom officers from all sections under the facilitation of the Society of Future Hospitality Industrialists (SFHI).

The organizational session focused on strategic alignment, event planning, and operational frameworks for the department's upcoming initiatives this school year. By fostering open communication and shared leadership, the assembly established a clear vision to drive student engagement, academic excellence, and successful program ex*****on in the months ahead.

The 𝑺𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒕𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝑯𝒐𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑰𝒏𝒅𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒔 (𝑺𝑭𝑯𝑰), the official student organization of the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) program at North Eastern Mindanao State University – Lianga Campus, successfully conducted its Turnover Ceremony. The event officially marked the transition of leadership to a new set of student officers ready to serve the BSHM community.

The ceremony featured meaningful reminders and inspiring words to guide the incoming student officers. Ma’am July Hera G. Salomon shared a grounded message, emphasizing, "𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙮 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙙, 𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞 𝙠𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙖𝙨. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙡𝙚, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚." reminding everyone that leadership is not about power or status, but about humility, empathy, and putting the needs of the student body first. The event was graced by the supportive faculty members of the Department of Hospitality Management, whose presence highlighted the department's continuous guidance and commitment to nurturing student leaders.
With new responsibilities formally turned over, the new officers step forward into Academic Year 2026–2027 with dedicated hearts, ready to work as one family toward service excellence.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | 𝗕𝗦𝗛𝗠 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗘𝗠𝗦𝗨-𝗟𝗖 𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) took part in the ASEAN Month Celebration 2026 of North Eastern Mindanao State University–Lianga Campus, which culminated on August 27, bringing together students in a celebration of ASEAN culture, unity, and diversity.

Representing Brunei, BSHM secured first place in the ASEAN Ambassador and Ambassadress highlighting the students’ confidence, cultural awareness, and ability to represent the values of their assigned ASEAN nation.

BSHM also earned second place in the Debate Competition, with James Ivanne A. Climaco placing second among the competition’s Best Speakers. The program likewise secured second place in the Essay Writing Competition and finished 7th in the Quiz Bowl.

Beyond the recognitions, BSHM’s participation provided students with opportunities to strengthen their communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and cultural awareness—skills that remain essential in the hospitality industry, where connecting with people from diverse backgrounds is at the heart of the profession.

Through its active involvement, BSHM continues to uphold the values of cultural appreciation, collaboration, and unity that define the ASEAN community.
