The Licensure Examination for Criminologists, held from August 1 to 3, 2026, concluded with determination, perseverance, and faith.

After completing the final day of the examination, the faculty of the College of Criminal Justice Education, led by Dean Dr. Laurence P. Bazan, together with the criminology licensure examinees, proceeded to St. Joseph Cathedral Diocesan Shrine in Butuan City to offer prayers of thanksgiving.

During the prayer, the College also extended its intentions to all NEMSU CCJE students who took the Licensure Examination for Criminologists—not only those who took the examination in Butuan City, but also those who journeyed to and took the examination in other cities. United in faith, the community prayed for their safety, strength, and success, entrusting the fruits of their hard work and sacrifices to God.

As the examinees await the results, they carry with them the hope that their dedication, perseverance, and countless hours of preparation will bear fruit. The gathering was a reminder that success is achieved not only through knowledge and determination but also through faith and the support of the people who have journeyed alongside them.

Once again, the College of Criminal Justice Education Cantilan Campus extends its heartfelt gratitude to the entire NEMSU community for the unwavering support, encouragement, and prayers offered to our future Registered Criminologists. Your kindness, solidarity, and continued prayers have been a source of strength throughout this significant milestone.

NEMSU Cantilan Campus Continues Its Support for CLE Examinees in Butuan City

On the second day of the Licensure Examination for Criminologists in Butuan City, the NEMSU Cantilan Campus, through the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) led by Dean Laurence P. Bazan, continued to support the examinees.

As part of this effort, transportation assistance was provided to ensure the safe and convenient travel of the examinees to their examination venue. The presence and encouragement of the CCJE faculty also served as a source of motivation as the examinees faced another important step toward achieving their goal of becoming Registered Criminologists.

The College of Criminal Justice Education family sincerely thanks Campus Director Dr. Juancho A. Intano for his invaluable support, generosity, and concern for the welfare of the examinees, which helped make their examination experience more comfortable and reassuring.

Through the collective efforts of the university administration and CCJE faculty, NEMSU Cantilan Campus continues to embody its spirit of unity, service, and commitment to the success of its future criminologists.

One Dream, One Mission: NEMSU CCJE Supports Future Criminologists

A day before the Criminologists Licensure Examination (CLE), the faculty of the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) of North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU), led by Dean Dr. Laurence P. Bazan, together with selected faculty members, met with the examinees in Butuan City to extend moral and emotional support as they prepared for the three-day examination.

The gathering provided the examinees with transportation assistance to their respective testing centers, practical reminders, and valuable strategies to help them stay focused and confident during the examination.

Adding inspiration to the meeting were NEMSU-CCJE’s very own topnotchers, Top 5 John Fred Parreño and Top 8 Aileen Loria, who personally shared their experiences and practical tips on how to successfully navigate the CLE. Their presence and encouragement served as a meaningful reminder that success is achievable through preparation, perseverance, and determination.

The Criminologists Licensure Examination will be held from August 1 to 3, 2026. The CCJE community remains steadfast in supporting its examinees as they take this important step toward becoming licensed criminologists.

Special thanks to Dr. Juancho A. Intano, Campus Director, for his unwavering support to the College and its students, which continues to strengthen the CCJE community’s pursuit of excellence.

Today, July 9, 2026, the incoming Bachelor of Science in Criminology 2nd Year students of NEMSU Cantilan Campus are taking their Qualifying Examination, facilitated by selected faculty members of the College of Criminal Justice Education.

The qualifying examination serves as an essential academic assessment designed to evaluate students’ foundational knowledge, competencies, and readiness for higher-level courses and professional training in the field of criminology. It reflects the institution’s commitment to maintaining academic excellence and ensuring that students are adequately prepared for the challenges of their chosen profession.

8. With good moral character (must not have been convicted of any criminal, administrative, or civil case);
9. No pending complaint and/or case involving moral turpitude or crimes against the state;

11. Never been dismissed from any private employment or government position for cause.
