LNU-BEO General Assembly Highlights

The LNU–Book Enthusiasts Organization successfully conducted its First General Assembly for Academic Year 2026–2027 at Academic Building Room 206.

The assembly convened officers and Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) students to deliberate on key organizational policies, discuss the proposed amendments to the Constitution and By-Laws (CBL), address membership logistics, and lay the groundwork for upcoming academic and student activities.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all officers and members whose presence and contributions were vital to the success of this meeting.

✨CRIMSON CONNECTION✨

What an unforgettable day of connection and fun for the LNU Book Enthusiasts Organization! Last September 18, 2026, we kicked off our Acquaintance Party with registration, followed by our preliminaries and runway walk. The formal program officially began with welcome remarks from LNU-BEO President Ranvy Caroline Antoni, followed by our Adviser, Ms. Camille Rose D. Serante, introducing our faculty and library staff. Morning energy stayed high with games and intermission numbers before everyone gathered for a delicious lunch buffet.

The afternoon session started with Ms. Serante leading the awarding ceremony for our outgoing officers, followed by another lively round of entertainment. We were then treated to an inspiring message from BLIS Faculty member Prof. Rhodora T. Navarro, leading right into traditional games for our 1st-year students. LNU-BEO Vice President Mary Rose Garcia delivered her closing remarks, and we wrapped up the day with year-level photo sessions and venue restoration. With Love and Gratitude for LNU: Ma'am Evelyn Perpiñan's Story

For Ma’am Evelyn F.Perpiñan, LNU's Employee of the Year 2026, her 36 years at the university are more than a record of service. They are a story of gratitude, family, perseverance, and a deep love for an institution that has been part of her life for decades.

Her journey at the university has taken her through various roles, and she has witnessed the University grow from Leyte State College to the LNU it is today. But beyond titles and years of service, her story is deeply rooted in gratitude.

LNU, she shares, has been a source of support that gave her the means to help those she loves— her family—and one she has come to love in return.-

This sense of gratitude is reflected in the way she serves. Over the years, she has willingly gone beyond her assigned duties, without asking for additional compensation. For her, these are not burdens but opportunities to contribute to the University that has given so much to her family. And in doing so, she has gained not only skills but also wisdom from the experiences she has encountered over the years.

For her, work is about willingness, humility, and learning, and her approach to working with others is equally grounded in respect. She believes in speaking kindly, understanding the feelings of others, and addressing misunderstandings directly.

After 36 years of service, her advice to the LNU community is simple but profound: respect one another, remain humble, work well together, and treat one another as family. She also reminds everyone to practice discipline and take care of LNU’s resources and facilities. Even seemingly small acts—such as saving supplies—can become meaningful expressions of service.

For Ma’am Perpiñan, rising with LNU is not simply about witnessing the university’s progress. It is about contributing to it, growing alongside it, and carrying gratitude through every step.

She is a testament to a Normalista spirit that does not simply stay through the years, but rises with the university it calls home.

LNU also recorded an impressive 83.33% passing rate among first-time takers, a testament to the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of our aspiring librarians, as well as the unwavering commitment of their mentors and the University.
