The TUP Visayas Guidance Services Office invites all First Year to Third Year Class Mayors to a seminar-workshop entitled “Understanding and Helping Youth in Crisis,” featuring our invited resource speaker, Dr. Johnny B. Decatoria, RPsy, DAAETS, on October 10, 2026, at 8:30 AM at the MTB Audio Visual Room. Wear shades of green and/or white in support of Mental Health Day.

Attendance is required as part of your role as a Class Mayor. After the activity, you will be expected to echo and share your key learnings with your classmates at a preferred time and date.

👤 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙚 𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙧 - Dr. Johnny B. Decatoria, RPsy, DAAETS, popularly known as Doc J, is a Licensed Psychologist, psychotherapist, educator, clinical social worker, and trauma specialist with extensive experience in mental health, psychotrauma, crisis intervention, and humanitarian services. He is the founder of the UST Graduate School Psychotrauma Clinic, the Crisis & Psychotrauma Center at La Consolacion College-Bacolod, and the Recoletos de Bacolod Psychotrauma Clinic. He has served as a consultant and trainer for various government agencies and international organizations, including UNDP, UNICEF, and UNHCR, and has trained and mentored mental health professionals, social workers, and counselors across the Philippines. He is also a professor at graduate schools in Manila and Negros Occidental and currently serves as President of the National Association for Psychotrauma Workers in the Philippines and Consultant for Mental Health Negros Island Region Inc.

TUP Visayas invites the parents and guardians of our TUPVians to join a free learning session with our invited clinical psychologist, Dr. Rylene L. Marijuan, RGC, RPm, RPsy, entitled “Understanding Your Child’s Emotional Needs and Knowing How to Respond,” on October 3, 2026, at 9:00 AM, LIVE via the TUP Visayas Guidance Services Office page.

Dr. Rylene is a Negrense psychologist currently based in the British Virgin Islands, where she provides comprehensive outpatient diagnostic assessments, psychotherapeutic interventions, and crisis management services to diverse clinical populations across the territory.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to participate by posting their questions and concerns in the comment section during the live session. Questions may be shared in English, Filipino, or Hiligaynon, and our invited clinical psychologist may address selected concerns during the discussion.

This is one of the university’s initiatives to raise awareness and help parents better understand and respond to their children’s emotional needs.

Delivery personnel shall proceed to the designated receiving area or authorized receiving office. All parcels and packages delivered to the University shall undergo the prescribed 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠/𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞, before they are released to the intended recipient or receiving office.

4. All vehicles entering the University premises shall be 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Only vehicles displaying a valid 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐯𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫 shall be allowed to enter the campus parking area, subject to available parking spaces. Parking shall be on a 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭-𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞, 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭-𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐬. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐤/𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐯𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐮𝐭𝐲 as part of the University's security screening procedures.

The Technological University of the Philippines Visayas (TUPV) lists 15 new Registered Mechanical Engineers out of 25 takers in the August 2026 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination (MELE), achieving a 60% passing rate and surpassing the national average of 36.95%, as released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

Huge congratulations to our 15 new Registered Mechanical Engineers from the Technological University of the Philippines Visayas!

Your hard work, discipline, and grit have paid off. Congratulations to the new engineers, their families, and the faculty who supported them. TUPV is proud of you! 👏

All students who wish to purchase a top uniform are requested to attend the sizing during the scheduled time to ensure accurate measurements. Please note that this will be the final opportunity for top uniform sizing, and no additional sizing schedules will be conducted thereafter.
