SHIFT TO ASYNCHRONOUS CLASSES FOR SEPTEMBER 21, 2026

To provide students and faculty members with time to prepare for the upcoming Midterm Examinations Week, all classes at all levels, including extension campuses, at TSU will shift to asynchronous learning modality tomorrow, September 21, 2026.

Examinations held tomorrow shall be rescheduled to September 28, 2026, until 12:00 noon, and October 5, 2026. The September 28 schedule shall only be held until 12:00 noon due to the work suspension in all government offices in observance of the 34th National Family Week and Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day 2026 through Malacañang Memorandum No. 136, s. 2026.

Students and faculty members are advised to take note of the revised examination schedule and make the necessary adjustments accordingly.

Examinations held on September 22-26 will proceed as scheduled.

CONTINUED ONLINE CLASSES FOR SEPTEMBER 7-12, 2026

Based on the rapid assessment survey conducted by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), which indicates that many students continue to be affected by the challenges and disruptions brought about by the prevailing weather conditions, classes at all levels in TSU shall be conducted online (synchronous or asynchronous) from September 7 to 12, 2026.

The University’s response shall remain anchored on the principle that the safety and welfare of the TSU community shall take precedence, without compromising the commitment to academic continuity, quality education, fairness, and institutional responsibility.

SHIFT TO ONLINE CLASSES FOR AUGUST 29, 2026

In view of the heavy rainfall brought by the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and the resulting flooding in various areas of the province, classes at all levels in TSU shall be conducted online (synchronous or asynchronous) on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

Faculty members are enjoined to ensure the continuity of instruction through appropriate learning tasks and activities. The University likewise encourages everyone to stay home and prioritize safety.

SUSPENSION OF GOVERNMENT WORK AND CLASSES ON AUGUST 28, 2026

In compliance with Memorandum Circular No. 132 issued by Malacañang Palace this afternoon, which orders the suspension of government work and classes at all levels today (August 28, 2026), due to the incoming Low-Pressure Area (LPA) that entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), TSU hereby suspends regular work and classes at all levels, starting 1:00 p.m.

Only personnel performing vital, health, safety, and emergency-response services shall report.

SHIFT TO ONLINE CLASSES FOR AUGUST 28, 2026

Following the suspension of face-to-face classes at all levels by the City Government of Tarlac due to the continuous rainfall brought about by the enhanced southwest monsoon (habagat), TSU will shift to online learning modality today, August 28, 2026.

Faculty members shall utilize synchronous and/or asynchronous modalities as appropriate, and shall provide learning tasks, activities, and instructional materials that allow students to continue learning.
