Congratulations to 2LT John Carlo Manzano, PA,for successfully completing the rigorous training of the Officer Candidate School (OCS), OCC Class 62 "Nagdilaab" 2025.

Before donning the uniform, 2LT Manzano served as the President of Youth for Peace Cagayan, a passionate youth advocate, and a dedicated lecturer on leadership and anti-terrorism. As a civilian, he worked tirelessly alongside the 17th Infantry Battalion, 501st Brigade, and 5th Civil Military Operations Battalion , conducting impactful peace-building initiatives to counter insurgency in the province.

He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Filipino, and passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers in September 2024, prior to joining the military.

In OCS, he served as Honor Committee Chairman and became part of the 1st Battalion, Bravo Company— a reflection of his integrity, leadership, and commitment to excellence.

Aktibong nagkilahok ang mga kabataan ng YFP Gattaran sa isinagawang one (1) day Youth Leadership Seminar and Workshop ng Charlie Company, 17th Infantry Battalion ng Philippine Army na ginanap sa Capissayan Norte, Gattaran Cagayan noong 23 June 2024. Kasama ang mga Sangguniang Kabataan leaders, Mobile Community Support Sustainment Team ng 17IB na nakadeploy sa vulnerable and focused baranagays sa pangunguna ni Gattaran Youth SK Federation President Hon. Vincent Kennedy Dante at mga myembro ng PNP Community Relations ng Gattaran.

Sa tema ng seminar na "Whole of Society Approach" Nagbahagi ng kaalaman ang Commanding Officer ng Charlie Company, 1Lt Fernie V Lua sa layunin ng Philippine Army kung paano magkaroon ng pagtutulungan at maging parte ang Kabataan sa pag sustain sa mga lugar na dating naapektuhan ng Komunismong Grupo ng CPP-NPA at ang malaking role na ginagampanan ng kabataan sa kampanya kontra insurhensiya at terorismo.

Nagbigay din ng lecture ang isa sa mga volunteers mula sa Tuguegarao city si Mr. Jervees A Herrera ng Pacemakers, PH, Cagayan hingggil sa "Propaganda and Issue Analysis" at kung paano maging parte ang Kabataan sa "Whole of Society Approach" at responsable sa pagtataguyod ng Kapayapaan sa internal and external threats ng ating bansa.

Sa pangunguna ni YFP Gattaran Adviser Jamaica Naldo at Cagayan President, John Carlo Manzano, nagkaroon ng aktibong partisipasyon at talakayan ang myembro ng Philippine Army, Youth for Peace at Sangguniang Kabataan sa ginawang workshop. Layunin din ng workshop na magkaroon ng kaalaman ang mga kabataan sa mga external threats at issues sa West Philippine Sea at kung paano hikayatin ang mga kabataan upang maging aktibo, maakabayan at suportahan ang ating kasundaluhan.

The entire Youth for Peace Family takes great pride in congratulating our esteemed 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 , 𝗝𝗢𝗛𝗡 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗟𝗢 𝗟. 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗭𝗔𝗡𝗢, for successfully passing the September 2023 Licensure Examination for Teachers.

Hailing from the distinguished institution of Cagayan State University, Manzano graduated with latin honors, earning the prestigious title of Cum Laude. His dedication and hard work have truly set a remarkable standard within the university's vibrant academic community.

The achievement of securing a teaching license reflects Manzano's deep understanding of educational principles and his readiness to contribute to the noble profession of teaching. As we celebrate this milestone, we anticipate that Manzano will continue to serve as a beacon of inspiration for aspiring educators within the Youth for Peace Family and beyond.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦:The Security Awareness and Cyber Security Prevention Symposium successfully engaged over 2,000 first-year students at CSU Andrews Campus in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

The Cagayan State University Alumni Association Incorporated orchestrated the symposium in collaboration with the 17th Infantry "Do or Die" Battalion , 5CMO Bravo Company, and the Police Provincial Office Region 02.

Mr. John Carlo Manzano, the president of YFP Cagayan, delivered a lecture on the organization's programs and activities. He also discussed leadership and emphasized the importance of Executive Order No. 70, known as the Whole-of-Nation Approach.

Meanwhile, Mr. Rey G Addatu of NICA R02 presented on Anti-Deceptive Recruitment. Additionally, the 17th Infantry Battalion Band graced the event.
