The Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) showcased a strong performance and garnered 214 overall points at the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges โ Region I (PASUC-I) Culture and Arts Festival 2026, earning several championships and podium finishes across musical, dramatic, visual, dance, and literary arts competitions and placing third in the overall standings.
DMMMSU secured first-place victories in Piano, Song Writing, and Standard Choir under Musical Competitions; Short and Sweet Play Dialogue in Dramatic Arts; and Essay Writing, Persuasive Oratory, and Extemporaneous Speaking in Literary Arts.
The university also achieved second-place finishes in Classical Guitar, Banduria, Radio Drama, Dramatic Monologue (Filipino), Duo Acting, Painting, Hiphop, Contempory Dance, and Dagliang Talumpati.
Meanwhile, third-place finishes were recorded in Quartet, Pop Solo OPM, Dramatic Monologue (English), Pandalawahang Pag-Arte, Storytelling, Declamation, Contemporary Duo, and Pagsulat ng Sanaysay.
DMMMSU also placed in several other events, including fourth place in Violin, Vocal Duet, Show Choir, Short and Sweet Play Musical, Deklamasyon, Oral Interpretation of Poetry, Oratorio, and Indigenous Dance and fifth place in Live Band, Photography, Charcoal Rendering, On-the-Spot Poster Making, Pencil Drawing, Folk Dance, and Pagkukuwento.
In the pageantry event, Carmela Alyssa Alupay finished as 1st Runner-Up in the Mr. and Ms. PASUC-I 2026 pageant and received the Most Photogenic Award and Miss Eleo Skin Award, while Anthony Ruden S. Mangaoang placed 2nd Runner-Up in the male category.
The PASUC-I Culture and Arts Festival gathered state universities and colleges across Region I, recognizing student achievements in culture and the arts.
Through its strong performance, DMMMSU reaffirmed its place among the regionโs leading institutions in cultural and artistic excellence.
