A Big Step Forward for Innovation in Education! 🚀

On June 9, 2026, the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) and the College of Hospitality and Institutional Management (CHIM) successfully held the Micro-Credential Vetting Session. This milestone event brought together distinguished industry leaders and academe experts to evaluate the new micro-credentials that OLFU will soon be offering to its community.

The University was honored to welcome the following industry guests:

- Mr. Andrei Alip, Chairman, CHIM AILP Advisory Board (Hospitality Management)
- Ms. Gina Cueno, HR Manager, Rajah Travel Corporation (Tourism Management)

The event was graced by University President, Dr. Caroline Enriquez who proudly noted that CBA and CHIM are at the forefront of innovation in education.

CBA and CHIM Dean, Dr. Ignacio Cordova Jr., also walked the guests through the journey of each micro-credential—from concept to credential.

Through collaborative breakout sessions, micro-credential authors engaged in rich and meaningful dialogue with industry partners and academe experts, who generously shared their insights and feedback.

OLFU is thrilled to share that the academe experts awarded the presented micro-credentials an exceptional rating!

This is what helped shape the journey of James Russel Acebo, now a Software Engineering Architect at Proteus (UK) and a proud BS Computer Science alumnus. His experience as a scholar proves that great leaders are shaped through discipline, humility, and continuous learning.

Today, the same opportunity is open to aspiring Computer Science students. OLFU’s College of Computer Studies 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 is accepting incoming BS Computer Science freshmen who are ready to take on a future in technology and innovation.

OLFU CHIM Serves Multi-Campus Triumphs at MAFBEX 2026! 🏆

The College of Hospitality and Institutional Management (CHIM) proudly celebrates a myriad of victories at the Manila Foods and Beverages Expo (MAFBEX) 2026, held from June 10-14, 2026 at the Philippine Trade Training Center and World Trade Center.

Across multiple campuses, CHIM students and mentors demonstrated world-class excellence in culinary and hospitality competitions—bringing honor to the University through championship titles, runner-up finishes, and podium placements on the national stage.

The best decisions often begin with finding a place where you belong.

For Mary Cyril Usa, OLFU became that place. What started as her senior high school journey grew into a meaningful college experience filled with treasured memories, lasting friendships, and opportunities to pursue her passion.

Today, as an incoming 2nd Year BS Psychology student and Representative of the Council of Leaders at OLFU Valenzuela, she continues to make the most of every opportunity to learn, lead, and serve.
