In a vibrant display of empowerment, the Philippine Normal University Visayas joined the 2026 National Women’s Month Celebration last March 18, 2026. Held at the PNU Visayas IMC II, the event brought together a diverse group of community women, including residents and leaders from Barangay Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. The gathering was further enriched by the active participation of representatives from the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) and the Cadiz City Women’s Council.

The celebration was spearheaded by the Gender Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Unit, reflecting the university’s dedication to fostering an environment where every voice is heard. Under the leadership of Ms. Mika Grace Regala and her team of facilitators, the program provided a meaningful space for dialogue and connection.

Teatro Dagway Ensemble brings to life “Dungan kag Kusog,” a special performance for the Women’s Month Celebration that honors the strength, wisdom, and spirit of women. Inspired by the Babaylans—our precolonial women leaders and healers—this performance celebrates voices that lead, nurture, and transform communities through courage and purpose.

Lead like the Babaylans— grounded like earth, subtle like water, graceful like the wind, and fierce like fire. 🌎🌊🌬️🔥
