On March 22, 2024, the inaugural event of the EZ-PHOWER-IT project unfolded with the captivating title "Unleashing the Power of MS Excel for Office Report Productivity." This session saw the participation of 30 dedicated personnel from the Provincial Health Office (PHO), comprising doctors, nurses, administrative staff and from PRMSU CCIT-IT Department.

This partnership is formalized through a memorandum of understanding signed by Dr. Roy N. Villalobos, Dr. Marlon James A. Dedicatoria, Dr. Rosielyn A. Ebal, Dr. Menchie A. Dela Cruz, Daryl John C. Ragadio and Darwin M. Moraña as the PRMSU representatives and Dr. Noel C. Bueno, Ms. Trisha Mae D. Apsay, Arjee C. Orilla and Ryan James Paje as the PHO representatives, paving the way for the innovative extension project named EZ-PHOWER-IT (Elevating Zambales Provincial Health Office by Widening Employee Resources on Information Technology). The primary objective of this project is to bolster the Provincial Health Office's capabilities by empowering its workforce with advanced proficiency in essential tools such as MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel), Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides), and various other IT-related applications. Through this initiative, the aim is to significantly augment health development efforts, fortify training programs, and enhance workforce retention, all while fostering gender equality by leveraging enabling technologies, particularly information and communications technology, to empower women in the region.

The workshop commenced promptly at 8:00 AM with registration overseen by the Secretariat. The opening program, skillfully coordinated by the AVP Presentation team, featured invigorating presentations and speeches. Dr. Herminio D. Cawagas I, the Provincial Dentist, delivered the opening remarks, followed by the inspirational message delivered by Dr. Geoffrey S. Sepillo, program chair of IT department.
The morning sessions were intellectually stimulating, with Mr. Ronnel C. Mesia shedding light on legal and ethical issues in IT. Mr. Mesia further delved into Microsoft Office and Excel, setting a solid foundation for practical application.

A group of committed instructors from the College of Communication and Information Technology (CCIT) came together on January 26, 2024, to start a new project. The team met under the direction of Darwin M. Moraña, the project manager, and Daryl John Ragadio, the College Extension Coordinator, to talk about EZ-PHOWER-IT Extension program implementation. In partnership with the Provincial Health Office (PHO), this ambitious project was scheduled to launch in the center of Zambales.

Excitement and eagerness were in the air as the meeting progressed. The group dug into the program's specifics, describing its goals, target market, and the IT solutions that would be offered. The objective was to equip PHO Zambales staff with the required digital tools and skills to enhance their efficiency and improve patient care.

The CCIT Extensionist, headed by the Dr. Menchie A. Dela Cruz, the college dean, continue their journey on October 18, 2023, as they headed to the President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital (PRMMH). There, they met with Dr. Eileen Rose Garrido to plan the CCIT and PRMMH Extension project, titled E-PRMMH-HOST IT (Empowering PRMMH Health Offered Services Through Information Technology). This initiative focused on using ICT to improve office work and services at PRMMH.

In addition to this, the team headed by the project leader Mr. Darwin Moraña, discussed the renewal of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between PRMSU and PRMMH, reinforcing their commitment to enhancing healthcare services with ICT.

After the meeting with Dr. Garrido, the team moved to Amungan Barangay Hall, this project is headed by one of the Faculty members of CCIT, Mr. Joseph J. Juliano. They discussed extension program plans for the barangay, as well as the transfer of Mr. Juliano's research output,the Integrated Web-based Application of Barangay Amungan Information Management System.

Later in the day, the team proceeded to LAKAS National High School in Botolan to meet with Sir Yves Clark Fabrigas. This project is headed by the CCIT extension coordinator, Engr. Melojean C. Marave Their discussion focused on preliminary assistance for Project A.Y.T.A. (Akma Ya Tambay ha Aw-Ayta: An Extension and Community Outreach Program for the IP Students of LAKAS High School).

On October 17, 2023, a significant collaboration took place between CCIT Extension Services, the SBO Officer, and the esteemed BSCS alumnus, Sir Ronnel C. Mesia. Their destination was the Provincial Health Office (PHO) of Zambales, where they met with Dr. Noel C. Bueno to discuss an innovative project.
Their mission was clear: to enhance the efficiency of office work for PHO employees through the power of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The team was ready to utilize ICT tools and strategies to streamline processes, improve communication, and ultimately make the office's daily operations smoother and more effective.
In their meeting with Dr. Bueno, they explored various ways ICT could be harnessed to achieve these goals. They discussed the implementation of new software, training programs for staff, and the introduction of digital tools that would revolutionize how tasks were carried out within the PHO.
As the meeting concluded, a sense of purpose and enthusiasm filled the room. The partnership between CCIT Extension Services, the SBO Officer, Sir Ronnel C. Mesia, and Dr. Noel C. Bueno promised to usher in a new era of efficiency and productivity at the Provincial Health Office.
