The Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) joins the Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drill this September 1, 2026.

This activity provides our school community with an opportunity to practice the proper response during emergencies and strengthen our readiness to stay calm, alert, and prepared.

We remind everyone that this is only a drill and there is no actual emergency. Let us participate responsibly, follow the instructions of our designated personnel, and avoid actions that may cause unnecessary panic or alarm.

This is to inform all ZSCMST personnel that a Philhealth YAKAP Caravan will be held on September 1, 2026 at 9:30am at the Dome, ZSCMST.

This activity aims to provide the following services:

• Philhealth Registration & Member Records Updating for faculty, staff and
students(especially 18yrs. old above)
• Philhealth Konsulta Registration for primary healthcare coverage
• Information Drive on healthcare rights, benefits and local healthcare provider access.

All personnel are encouraged to attend this activity.

Please be informed that due to the forecasted high heat index tomorrow, August 27, 2026, all outdoor activities for students are suspended.

Wearing of the prescribed school uniform will also be optional for the day.

Students are advised to stay hydrated and take the necessary precautions against the heat.

Please be guided accordingly.

• Only 55 slots will be accommodated per scheduled day.
• Slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once all slots have been filled, the registration form will automatically close.
• Only one (1) registration slot is allowed per student. Duplicate registrations will not be accommodated.
• Proceed to College Mini Press, located at Graduate School Building.
• Kindly present your Certificate of Registration (COR) during your scheduled appointment for verification purposes.

The Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) is currently conducting its Supreme Student Council (SSC) Elections 2026 today, August 25, 2026, bringing students together to exercise their right to vote and take part in the selection of their next student leaders.

The election is being conducted from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. ZSCMST encourages all students to exercise their right to vote responsibly and choose leaders who embody integrity, competence, and commitment to serving the student body.

TRANSPARENCY FOR CAMPUS SAFETY

The Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) highly encourages the use of transparent or clear bags within the campus to help promote a safe and secure learning environment for our students.

The use of transparent or clear bags allows security personnel to conduct faster and more efficient inspections, helping ensure a safer campus community for everyone.

Reminders: Weapons, sharp or pointed objects, illegal substances, alcoholic beverages, and other illegal items are strictly prohibited inside the campus.
