Rotaract Club of Western Mindanao State University Service Above Self Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30.

Rotaract clubs are either community or university based, and theyโ€™re sponsored by a local Rotary club. This makes them true "partners in service" and key members of the family of Rotary. As one of Rotaryโ€™s most significant and fastest-growing service programs, with more than 8,400 clubs in about 170 countries and geographical areas, Rotaract has become a worldwide phenomenon.

Last August 3, The Rotaract Club Of Western Mindanao State University joined LYDC's 3rd Quarter Meeting held Conference Room, City Hall, Zamboanga City represented by President Jenica Joy I. Gemina.

The meeting talked about the new LYDO office location, Activities under Linggo ng Kabataan and Youth day celebration, Providing updates on ongoing programs, Future plans of the organizations and Project Proposal Updates.

During the meeting, City Mayor Khymer Olaso also took time to join us and urged the youth organizations to back local government programs. He pressed youth to avoid illegal drugs, maintain personal discipline, and pitch in to keep Zamboanga City clean.

The Rotaract Club of Western Mindanao State University (RACWMSU) was honored to volunteer in a medical mission organized by Real Connection Mindanao.๐Ÿ’™

The medical mission provided free general check-ups, dental check-ups, and eye check-ups to the community at J-Jireh Yellow Beach, Zambowood, Zamboanga City.๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€โš•๏ธ๐Ÿฉบ

Last August 22, The Rotaract Club Of Western Mindanao State University joined a Love drive invited by President Ayesha Adjak from Youth City Officials (YCO) and with other organizations in organizing a relief assistance initiative for the families affected by the recent fire in Barangay Sangali, Zamboanga City. โœจ

The Rotaract and Interact Council of Presidents โ€“ Zamboanga City Council successfully conducted its 3rd Council Meeting, bringing together 9 out of 13 Rotaract and Interact Clubs for another meaningful afternoon of updates, discussions, and planning for service.

The meeting began with club updates, where each participating club shared their current status on their induction activities, membership applications and recruitment, as well as their accomplished and ongoing projects. These updates allowed the council to see the progress of each club, celebrate milestones, and identify ways we can continue supporting one another.

The council also discussed plans for the upcoming District-wide Tree Planting Activity, with the exciting possibility of conducting a mangrove planting activity. ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒŠ It will be more than just planting treesโ€”it will be another opportunity for our young leaders to come together, serve our environment, and create an impact that can grow beyond the day itself.
The meeting also tackled other important matters, including the 1st Quarter District Report deadline, RI Portal and Club Central updates, Club and RI dues, and the upcoming Rotaract and Interact Cup.

Last June 25, The Rotaract Club Of Western Mindanao State University joined Kape Siesta and President and Secretary Learning Seminar (PSLS) Held at ZABIDA Hall, San Jose Gusu.

The morning session (Kape Siesta), It was warmly welcomed by ๐——๐—ฅ๐—ฅ ๐—๐˜‚๐—น๐—ถ๐˜‚๐˜€ ๐—”. ๐—Ÿ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ ๐—๐—ฟ., This session provided a dedicated space to check in on the overall health of each Rotaract club across the Western Mindanao area. Leaders connected on a deeper level, openly discussing the challenges of managing their clubs, sharing best practices, and brainstorming future projects.

Following that, we shifted gears to the ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—Ÿ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—ฟ (๐—ฃ๐—ฆ๐—Ÿ๐—ฆ). This afternoon session brought together distinguished leaders to equip our Presidents and Secretaries to lead with absolute confidence and purpose:

๐Ÿ”น ๐——๐—ฆ ๐—™๐—ฒ๐—น ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ followed with a crucial walkthrough on Effective and Understanding Project Showcasing in My Rotary, teaching leaders how to properly document and highlight their clubs' hard work.

Armed with practical knowledge, shared experiences, and renewed inspiration from both Kape Siesta and the PSLS, our leaders have stepped well beyond their titles. They are now fully equipped to lead their respective clubs toward a year of service, resilience, and lasting impact.
