Report of the 15th Annual Sports Prize Distribution Ceremony, Hazara Zone
The 15th Annual Sports Prize Distribution Ceremony, Hazara Zone, was held on 18th August 2026 at Government Girls Postgraduate College No. 1, Abbottabad, to distribute prizes among the position-holder athletes who participated and secured positions in the sports competitions conducted across Hazara Zone during the previous academic year.
The ceremony was graced by the Guest of Honour, Additional Deputy Director HED, and the Chief Guest, Regional Director HED, along with the Director Sports, Higher Education Department, Peshawar, the respected JMC Coordinator, the Principal of Government Boys Graduate College No. 1, Abbottabad, and Principals, faculty members and position-holder athletes from various colleges of Hazara Zone.
The event was organized in a grand, dignified and highly professional manner. The credit for the successful organization and excellent arrangements goes to the Principal, Professor Ghazala Kiran Awan, whose leadership and support made the ceremony successful and memorable.
The event was efficiently managed by Ms. Saima Syed, Assistant Professor HPE and Event In-charge, Ms. Maria Sherzai, Assistant Professor HPE and Co-In-charge, and Ms. Sonia Khan, Lecturer in HPE and Assistant In-charge. They performed their duties with great dedication, coordination and professionalism and ensured the smooth ex*****on of all arrangements.
The ceremony provided an excellent opportunity to recognize and appreciate the hard work, dedication and achievements of young athletes and to encourage them to continue their efforts towards excellence in sports.
Overall, the 15th Annual Sports Prize Distribution Ceremony, Hazara Zone was conducted successfully and proved to be a memorable and prestigious event.

In preparation for the historic milestone, the college was beautifully and extensively decorated on the eve of August 13, with various intricate lighting arrangements and colorful displays that illuminated the entire campus, setting a truly festive mood. The esteemed Principal, Ms. Ghazala Kiran, whose visionary leadership and unparalleled dedication are the bedrock of our institutional Betennted is , Calbrated, in celebrating Pakistan's Independence Day. Her inspiring presence was lauded by all. The celebrations, - supported by Ms. Shabana Noreen, Incharge Extra-Cursed with a formal Flag Hoisting, symbolizing unity, integrity, and sovereignty, followed by a celebratory Cake Cutting. The stage proceedings began on a spiritual note with the Holy Quran, after which students presented soul-stirring patriotic songs (Milli Naghmay) and eloquent Urdu and English speeches highlighting the historic struggle for freedom and the responsibilities of youth in nation-building. To the delight of ight of the audience, students presented a captivating Army Tableau honoring the sacrifices of the armed forces, alongside vibrant cultural performances showcasing Pakistan's rich heritage and diversity. A heartfelt moment of reflection with a collective Dua for peace and prosperity was led by Ms. Abida Bibi. The program's seamless ex*****on was spearheaded by the dedicated organizing team of Associate Professor Ms. Yasmin Bibi, Assistant Professor Ms. Alia Rafique, and Assistant Professor Ms. Khalida Saba. In her presidential address, the esteemed Principal, Ms. Ghazala Kiran, extended warm commendations to the organizing committee, faculty members, and students for their exceptional dedication and enthusiastic participation in delivering this truly memorable event, which concluded at 12:00 PM with the respectful recitation of the National Anthem of Pakistan.

*Successful Conduct of Flexible Hiring*
The Flexible Hiring process for all JMC Female Colleges was successfully conducted at GGPGC No. 1 Abbottabad under the able leadership of Principal Professor Ghazala Kiran Awan. More than 200 interviews were conducted, facilitating teaching faculty from Abbottabad, Haripur, and Mansehra.
The successful ex*****on of the event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Professor Shabana Noreen, Professor Umat-uz-Zohra, Professor Saima Azhar, Assistant Professor Saima Syed, along with the entire teaching, clerical, and support staff, whose excellent teamwork ensured the smooth and efficient conduct of the process.
Regional Director Professor Tariq Mehmood Abbasi highly appreciated the arrangements and efforts of the college team. A lunch was also graciously arranged during the break, reflecting the college’s warm hospitality.

Pakitan Cultral Society Organizes a Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir

August 5, 2026 — Under the auspices of the Pakistan Cultural Society, a energetic protest rally was organized on Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir (Kashmir Exploitation Day) to strongly denounce Indian aggression and reject the unilateral actions of August 5, 2019.

The event took place under the esteemed guidance of College Principal Professor Ghazala Qiran, along with Ma'am Umt-e-Zohra and Professor Shabana Nureen (Professor of History). Pakistan Studies faculty members and intermediate students participated with great fervor, carrying posters and panaflexes while raising strong slogans against illegal occupation.
